Look, I have no idea who would have won, however anyone who tries to say that Texas with or without McCoy wouldn't make a difference, is a complete idiot. First of all, McCoy did not get hurt on 3rd down. Gilbert led them to 1st and goal at the one, and that would have been 7 with Colt, and probably 7 more after kickoff frickup by Bama! So either 14- 0, or 10 - 0, and Texas' offense being on the field much longer, things obviously would have been different. And the absolute gift TD right before half would never have happened either, so this game is completely different, and also Mcelroy wasn't worth a shite last nite, so having to have him pass more to catch up and keep scoring did not look good, period. Anyway, that's just how it goes, I mean Saban leaves LSU for pro's and hates it after a year or so, and then Bama ends up with him, and LSU, or moreover Bertman, commits the ultimate frickup hiring blockhead Miles, and LSU is where they are! Those are the breaks, just like McCoy going down at start of game, and the outcome of the game certainly leaves shitloads of questions in everybody's except Bama fans' minds'. To be blunt, you don't lose one of the top players in college football for the last 2 to 3 years, especially on offense, for the entire game, and it not change perceptions of the possible outcomes of the game, etc. Enjoy your so called NC!

+1
It's called FOOTBALL for a reason. It's a brutal sport.

If that guy is right, then he must also admit that UT's undefeated season and their subsequent appearance in the BCS championship deserves an asterisk because of the OU game.

Now there you go with all the reasoning stuff again...

Damn man. You managed to bash Saban, Bama and your own freaking HC & AD in that whinny little rant. Sounds like you're just pissed off at the world.

Not to mention a host of blown calls ALL in Bamas favor AGAIN! I dont think it was fixed but for Bama to get away with as many game changing calls going in their favor ALL YEAR, God must be a Bama fan...

I think it is okay for fans of other SEC teams to point out that Bama won it because the opposing QB didn't play but the rest of the nation needs to STFU and bow to the Gumps
Sad year to be a Texas fan: runners up to Bama and LSU

I wonder if we'd be having this coversation if the shoe was on the other foot?
Say McElroy or Ingram got knocked out and we lost? You think the media or yourself would give a shite about our misfortune and crying over it?
If you do then I want to show you some prime water front real estate I have in the middle of the Sahara Desert...

Good post Yat. If you want your QB to survive the game then don't ask him to run against that D. It was a legal hit and all part of the game.
McCoy wouldnt have stopped Ingram and Richardson either.

If Freeman can point out in the NCAA rulebook where it says that the game cannot continue if one team's star QB gets hurt, then he's got a valid point.
If the rules say you keep playing, then there is nothing tainted about Bama's win.

I didn't read past the first couple of sentences. McCoy went into the game healthy. And it wasn't Suh that hit him, it was Dareus.

Congratulations to the University of Alabama for winning the 2010 BCS national championship.*
Yes, that's an asterisk. If there was ever a title winner that deserved one, it's Alabama. Go ahead and stomp your feet and cry and pout 'Bama Nation (the death threats start in three, two, one ...) but it's true.
