Got the reel into a tangled mess.
How does a guy in his late 50s not know better?

People say this way is the only way to hold a reel …. You hold it how you feel comfortable holding it. Like holding fork pencil your taught a certain way but when it’s all said and done your going to do it the way you want to do it . For those who say you can’t frick up a spinning rod obviously haven’t fished much .

yeh i know i was just thinking out loud that i probably wouldn't feel comfortable reeling the opposite way that i do with both kind of reels. i have swapped handles many times for guests i take fishing
