Drought before the current one from Ronney Daniels was even longer. Terry Beasley in 1970. Only other Auburn receiver that’s ever had a 1k season.

Seems like an insignificant stat.

Considering UGA being one of the oldest on the list really destroys the correlation between success and 1,000 yd receiver.

It's a shame that in 2002 Terrance Edwards had 1,000 yards, but his legacy will always be the dropped pass at the Cocktail Party

Hell all three of the oldest streaks have at least one national championship within the span.

But hey, it’s useful if you’re gonna go on Kalshi and wager against Auburn, having 1000 yard receiver

Auburn is surprising to be honest.

Interestingly Auburn has almost never had a pass first offense. The eras when we did we had a 1000 yard receiver.

Pat and Terry in the late 60s/early 70s and 1999 (not by design because tater tot was allergic to recruiting RBs) are the only eras in which we’ve had them. Our best offenses always had dynamic running games. Bo, Cam, Nick and Tre etc.

AU has never been a passing team.

What surprises me more is Florida hasn't had one since 2002, the year Spurrier left. I figured Meyer or Mullen would have done it.

Considering A&am has two receivers over 900 yards this last season, the stat is worthless.

Auburn is where receivers go to die, it is a barren wasteland if you a WR

What's odd is if you google, UGA's last 1000 yd rusher was in 2019. So for the last 6 yrs, UGA has been winning without a truly dominant offensive skill player, either back or receiver. They did have the TE with Bowers, but that's it.

I guess it's overall depth.

Percy split time between RB and WR. His stats were very good, in 2007 and 2008 he averaged 127 yards and 1.2 TDs per game.

Also, Kedarius Toney had 985 receiving yards in the COVID year against an all SEC schedule in only 11 games.
