You have to keep in mind, these are the same idiots who are the last holdouts that 2020 Bama was the greatest football team of all time.

So, take it with a grain of salt.

Not surpring. Simpson had a shite Oline and wasn't surrounded by players in their mid 20's.

Probably the same guy who said Anthony Richardson was a good QB.

Ty was very clearly injured throughout the second half of the season. He also played behind an historically bad offensive line. For the team to get to the Rose Bowl was pretty amazing.

And this is how sports media works. Unproductive college chodes like Orlovsky, Joel Klatt, and others find new life by serving up nonsensical hot takes to the gullible masses in the hopes of driving page clicks.

Be better than this.

Yep its crazy how many QBs they miss on. Not sure about Simpson but anyone with eyes paying attention could see Richardson had no ability to read a defense. I dont understand why teams are always reaching on guys with that issue as it usually doesnt turn around much in the pros.

This isn't too surprising. Mendoza is an experienced and gutsy QB but I don't think anyone would argue that he's the most physically talented one.

I'm convinced he was playing injured. He went from looking like Tom Brady in the first Georgia/Alabama game to not making it past the 45 yard line until the end of the third quarter in the second Georgia/Alabama game.

You mean the half of the season he played with a major back injury and was so loaded up on pain meds he apparently could barely use the bathroom?

-Lower back injury vs. South Carolina impacted him the rest of the season.
-Gastritis from the anti-inflammatory for his lower back.
-Elbow bursitis vs. Georgia in the SEC title game (impacted CFP).
-Broken rib vs. Indiana.

Most draft readouts don't elevate or ding either Simpson or Mendoza regarding athletic ability. They both are viewed as maneuverable but not actual athletic threats and I guess that makes sense when the NFL bar is Lamar Jackson or Michael Vick.
