How does a HC with 2 playoff wins rank #46 out of 50 for top HC?

I'm still mad Auburn didn't hire Lane Kiffin while he was still at Florida Atlantic.

It was such an easy decision. How do you choose Bryan Harsin instead?

Pete Golding should be #2.
Pete is actually #1, but Cignetti did win championship so he gets #1.

The reason why he should be is that Pete took Ole Miss to the playoffs and won two playoff games in spite of Kiffin's lack of coaching abilities.

The staff at Ole Miss for the last several years have built an incredible team even with Kiffin weighting them down.
Without Kiffin holding him and the team back this season, OleMiss would have been undefeated champions.

OleMiss was lucky that LSU got them out from under Kiffin and ended the drought.

Same way a coach with zero actual playoff wins is ranked just above a coach who has 3?

Sark couldn’t hold Kiffin’s jock

Kiffin had the #1 offense in the SEC 4 out of 6 years.

Sark’s offense wasn’t in the top half of the SEC in 2025

In fairness, he has only coached a few games and has yet to go through a full recruiting/portal cycle or build a team or staff.
He coached a team that Kiffin built, give it a season.

Better question would be how does a HC coach with no playoff wins and no power 5 conference championships rank ahead of coaches with multiple playoff wins and power 5 conference championships?

Instead of talking about LSU, you’d rather talk about Ole Miss.

Make it make sense.

I mean, Kiffin is clearly the #2 Head Coach in the SEC…

Had OP not posted, I wouldn’t have expected to see Pete.

Same way Rodney terry (who was a few minutes from a final 4) would probably rank around the same as a hc if not lower n in college bball

How is Lane in front of Sark who has 2 final fours the last 3 years?

What kind of defense did he have. I know Arkansas averaged over 500 yards a game against him and they were not good.

Ask Pete and Nick.

2 HOF coaches chose Lane to lead their offense first. Once the best left they settled for the rest.

One day, you will come to realize Texas is the most underperforming school ever. More money and resources than almost anyone and located in a state overflowing with talent.

Yet LSU, with less resources, in a state with 1/10 the population has more NCs. Really sad.

Gets even worse when you consider how good Bama has been(a school with comparable resources as LSU). Just imagine if Bama had the natural advantages Texas has.

You guys really suck and any coach who can't even make it to the big dance there, really sucks. Sark is overrated bigtime on this chart.

Auburn definitely would have had a natty or two.
