Does Simpson even have a legacy to tarnish?

"Former Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson said he is "absolutely" content with entering the NFL draft, adding it would "tarnish my legacy" to stay in college and play for another school."
Maybe not intentional, but definitely a slap at Hurts. Jalen has a helluva lot bigger legacy, and it certainly isn't tarnished.

Idk but this seems like an odd nit to pick.

I don't think any of us faulted Jalen for leaving. He was never going to beat out a generational QB in Tua. It's not like he left because some Colonel Sanders redneck in Texas with oil money offered him a Lambo, unlimited line of coke and STD-free whores.

Just stop. Just let him be. You don't always have to come at players for what they say.

CrimsonBoz, this is another example of what I was saying few weeks ago about how people can make unnecessary comments about players for no reason.

It's a message board. Don't like it? You can go away.

What the hell is this, and who the hell are you? You sound like a 20 year old college kid whining to your mama. "Crimson Boz"??? What do you want him to do?
These guys are professional athletes. Don't treat them like snowflakes.
I have zero patience for this crap.
"Waaaaah!!! Crimson Boz!!!! Do something about this!!"

You don’t understand that a guy would want to be remembered as exclusively an Alabama player and be able to bring his future kids back to Tuscaloosa without having to say “oh and my career ended with me taking a bribe to play for a random school?”
You seem like a depressed, angry man who should be embarrassed that a 23 year old football player seems to have far more understanding of what is actually important in life than you do.

Never crossed my mind for a second he was bashing anyone. If it did anything, it made me more proud of Ty Simpson.

He was a team captain. Has his prints at Denny Chimes. Starting qb for a playoff team that made the Rose Bowl.
Do you have a legacy better than that?

This might not be the dumbest take I've ever seen on this board, but it's certainly up there.

Yeah, he does. He stayed at Bama even with a new coach and waited his turn. He played outstanding football and willed the team to a playoff appearance and win despite having maybe the worst OL in the league. He wasnt taking a shot at Jalen Hurts at all. That situation was wildly different

This board is a privilege. Its not your personal sounding board to trash players and act like a POS, which you are

OP definitely has recurring dreams about lining up at center and running the tush push all night long

The whiner butcher complainers are out on this thread. Reminds me of politics.

Yeah he does. He is a guy who won a lot of games behind a crappy o line and gave everything he had for the team. He took a tremendous amount of beating just to try to win for Alabama.
I am sure he heard a lot of the crap that was said about him, and yet, he dind’t want to wear any other jersey than Bama’s. Ty could’ve made a lot of money to play behind a better line and improve his draft stock, but, once again, he sacrificed himself for the Tide. Because of that, Ty will be one of my favorites. He is exactly the opposite of 90% of players today.
All of this is infinitely more than you’ve done.
It is literally taking everything I have not to go off on you right now. You are pathetic.

Played his heart out for the crimson tide. Pretty good legacy! What is your legacy?
Posted on 1/31/26 at 12:47 pm to BamaGradinTn
Absolutely, Ty Simpson is a Bama legend.
