He passed away today at 76. He had a hell of a journalism career.

He had his ways, but he was Auburn through and through and from the outside he seemed like a good dude. RIP to him.

Damn.
He has been tweeting as usual. Was it sudden?

He wrote his Thursday morning thoughts probably Wednesday evening. It sounds sudden.
I agree with what was said. He certainly had his ways, but this will take some getting used to. Won't be the same Auburn without him.

For all the flack he caught on here and elsewhere-some of it deserved-he was the first Auburn beat writer I followed and I always appreciated his effort and thoughtfulness. My dad read his stuff for pretty much all of Phillip’s career, and has always continued to read pretty much every article he wrote. Sad news. RIP

Who'll ever forget . . .
May not have always liked but he was always an absolutely true blue Auburn sports writer.
RIP Phillip

This right here. Grew up reading his stuff. Loved it. Incredibly sad. Sounds like it was sudden

This floored me. Catherine O'Hara died today, as well.

RIP. Phillip was a significant voice in Auburn sports history. I wish him well.

He was dyed in the orange and blue wool. Always enjoyed his articles and his ability to weave Auburn history and players names of yore into his articles. RIP Phillip, and blessings to his family.

RIP PMarsh, wish you had taken better care of yourself, you’ll be missed

He was the first and I think the only, person to block me from his account.
We did not agree on a few things.
RIP.

He followed in his father's footsteps and may he rest in peace.
