Miami vs Indiana is the 3rd most watched title game of all time.

Trailing only 1) Texas vs USC in 2006 and 2) Ohio State vs Oregon in 2014. Most watched non-NFL game since game 7 of the 2016 World Series.
Not a single SEC team in any of the 3 most watched National Championships of all time. I thought SEC peeps and media said only the SEC mattered? ??

I'm sure it had nothing to do with Indiana's Cinderella season.

Texas, USC and Ohio State are the 3 biggest brands in CFB and Indiana supposedly has the largest alumni base

This is the only college title game I recall watching besides the 4 that LSU has been in.

Touching post, Jerry, but that's your insecurity speaking.

Yep yep.... and to the op...

....there was a great deal of SEC viewership. LSU folks everywhere praying for a Miami win ! Too bad.

Help me out here. Why would LSU fans be praying for Miami to win? What benefit is that to us? I personally wanted Indiana to win, not sure about this statement. But, sick burn I guess.
No serious person or ball knower is really considering this year's Indiana team to the 2019 LSU team if that is what you are insinuating. Which would be dumb, but just in case.

Maybe you're the exception, but after reading the build up to Miami/IU there sure were a lot of Bayou Folks hoping the " greatest team ever" tag wouldnt go glimmering.
It did though.

There’s a reason they blew up the sport via NIL/portal, and this is it. The sport had to break the containment the South had on it. There was just too much potential to lock it all up in one region, and the only way to break that was to upend it.
Coincidentally, immediately after that happens, the conference with the most unlocked eyeball numbers reels off 3 in a row by its biggest brands, and one of the losingest programs of all time who also just happens to have the largest living alumni base won the whole damn thing with an arguable GOAT team.
You couldn’t script it any better if you were negotiating media contracts.
The SEC had to decline in order to unlock a gold mine. It’s going exactly as planned. Even better. USC or Oregon is primed to win it all next year and continue the realization of the sport monetarily.

Which was the most watched national title game that penn state has played in?

That’s because Indiana has 60k undergrads due to no academic standards

Well, yeah, geography makes a difference in interest. People got tired of the SEC (and southern US) constantly winning natties and exclusively playing in natties. For a while it seemed like Bama, UGA, and Clemson were always in the championship games.

It actually has more to do with the SEC not being in the game. In all three of those most watched games ever, notice all six teams involved weren’t SEC at the time.
Fans from the SEC are going to watch no matter who is playing. It’s fans from other parts of the country who tune in only if a team from their region is playing.

What does it matter what i had to do with though?
It the 3rd most watched... period.. doesn't matter why. It was a damn good game.
Are you jealous of the viewership of a football game?

Sometimes I feel like I’m being gaslit by ratings
I feel like the buzz in general and outside discussion was completely dead by the time the title game came along.
From tv, to the office, to my group texts etc.

Indiana did it with a bunch of 2* and 3* players. What are you talking about "blowing up the NIL/portal"?
They did it with real football players.

Man, you are an unhinged lunatic in many levels. You post on the poli board a lot I assume?
First or all, who is “they?” And how did “they” do everything you just accused them of? Be specific.

Further evidence the SEC lives in their own bubble mindset always under the impression the rest of the Country wants to watch them as much as they just want to watch themselves.
