Judges are supposed to ask tough questions. I love how it is a bad sign when conservative judges ask tough questions is considered "not looking great".

I’m all for this, but didn’t he really sign Hunter’s. If so, his isn’t void.

 I love you message board badasses. Good rebuttal. You sound smart.
 Any shot of Lane is gone. Any shot of any top flight candidates is gone. You just cut your pool of candidates down 90%, which the other 10% being O, FW, and Napier. Would be lucky to get Sumrall at this point.

Sounds like you guys just don't want to hear the truth about how things happen.

Like how the State has to pay a 53 million buyout, which is not true. Also, teach your boy Landy the difference between "metric" and "incentives." Landry is a dumbass, regardless of politics; if you can't see it, you are as well.

I'd rather take my chances with the Board of Supervisors than Woodward

 Ok, this is just sad. I guess we just forget that BK had brought ND to the playoffs when we signed him.

But he missed on his first football coach so he doesnt get another shot. Am I doing this right?

Correct. Even though at the time is was a huge hire and this special BOS signed off on the contract. Jay Johnson has added to the intimidator twice.

Fired because of taking a chance on a good coach that didn't work out, and a buyout that private money paid, which he collected.

 The whole country is laughing at us and rejoicing, because they know that clown just cost us any shot at getting a good coach. Have fun with Napier or O. I've never been more amazed at how dumb this board is until today, and that is saying something.

Stop whining when a guv you dont like plays the same game as the one you do

 I am a card-toting conservative. Landy is an absolute moron, regardless of politics. Like, he is a legit idiot.

Do not care about Jimbo, that was A&m. He screwed up with BK and it's obvious to everyone

I mean, holy shite. Let's review the logic here. Woody made a bad hire (wasn't bad at the time, but in hindsight), and has made multiple good hires, resulting in 4 national championships. Yet, we are so mad about a 27 mil buyout that we are not paying and does not affect us at all, that he had to give to get said coach, that we are perfectly ok with firing him and letting freaking Jeff Landry run our athletic program down the shitter? Honestly, it is funny.

No one wants Woody to make this same mistake all over again

No One

I agree. That doesn't mean you let your old school corrupt arse governor take over your athletic programs. Nobody is being pragmatic and understanding how bad this is going to turn out. It is hilarious.

re: Firing Scott Woodward would be Dumb

 Tried warning you all. This is going to be a shite show, and no coach in their right mind is coming to LSU with Landry running LSU athletics, which is exactly what is happening.

hey dummy

did baseball and WBB make a profit or NOT? that was his point

now go to bed mrs WOODWARD

Calling someone a "dummy" right before "mrs WOODWARD" is definitely a choice.

There’s a fairly large margin between perfection and causing LSU to be responsible for 2 of the top 8 largest coaching buyouts in history

What do the buyouts mean to you? Like at all? Did Woody call you for help? No? Woody gets big fish and requires big deals. Didn't work out, but quit acting like you are losing equity on your house because of a freaking buyout that you have nothing to do with.
I've tried, man. They won't listen. Pitchfork brigade is out and about.

Letting him hire the next football coach would be the dumbest thing possible

1) Chris Petersen - never coached again
2) Jimbo - no longer coaching
3) BK - likely done as a coach

Letting him hire the next football coach would be the dumbest thing possible

1) Chris Petersen - never coached again - on his own accord.
2) Jimbo - no longer coaching - who cares?
3) BK - likely done as a coach - maybe? So what?

Also, we just leaving out Sark to maintain a point?

The AD is the football coaches boss! If these rumors are true about Kelly's drinking problem and that he spent the bye week on a beach and Woodward wasn't reading him the riot act then poor little Woody wasn't doing his job either. Why didn't he have something in Kelly's contract that would cover these kind of things? Wouldn't you expect him to be present in his office or on the field the entire football season? It is only 5 to 6 months after all with a 10 million dollar a year salary. If I had been given a guaranteed income like Kelly I wouldn't be working hard either. Hell fire me and let me have a paid vacation for the rest of my life.

So we mad that Woody didn't put provisions in BK's contract that restricted him from drinking an adult beverage and taking a vacation? I'm sure coaches would love that clause in their contract. Woody should have hired a full-time babysitter? These are some serious reaches.

Also, we have some serious misunderstandings between the dynamic between AD and HC if you think the AD is "reading him the riot act" everytime he hits up 30A and drinks too much wine.

IN THE ONLY 2 revenue generating sports in campus. He is ofer. He needs to be fired

These comments are almost too dumb to engage, but I can't resist. LSU revenue is up over the last 6 years, contrary to popular belief. The athletic department does not fund the buyouts. Nothing about BK affected your precious revenue. I didn't like BK. Didn't like his contract, but the fixation on the buzzword "revenue" is getting old.
