As the transfer portal comes to an end, Alabama finishes with the 45th ranked transfer class according to On3sports.
The Crimson Tide hauled in 17 players, but lost 23 players to the portal after an embarrassing 38-3 Rose Bowl defeat to the powerhouse Indiana.

These guys heard Bediako is back, so they figure they are eligible too. Will be at the tryout.

We'll need to lose 3 regular season games in a row over the next 11 years to reach LSU's level.

Please someone post a gif of Forest Gump running onto the Alabama practice field for the first time.

Our walk ons would still own LSU.

I wonder if cajunbama can get the range on his ankle monitor extended. They usually have girls on the sidelines with the water bottles... so I'm sure having a bitch do the job would be acceptable.

last time I looked at the numbers we were at or around 85 scholarship guys. They even gave one to a former walk on. I dont think your shiny hook is what you think it is. I imagine all schools do this to replace current ones. And I wouldnt be surprised if Bama makes current walk ones go through this process yearly.

I was under the impression that all schools have walk on tryouts. Otherwise, do they just issue a locker and uniform to any swinging dick that says "hey coach, sign me up"?

Seems like holding tryouts is a good system so that you can actually see players in person and run them through drills (Saban certainly thought so since we had tryouts every year when he was the coach). Programs like UGA seem to agree with that approach:

If tweet fails to load, click here. On the other hand, schools like LSU just have prospective walk-ons fill out a form and provide game film.

As soon as they figure outs these dudes names, 247Sports, ESPN, and On3 will rank the dude on the left as a 5* athlete and the one on the right as a 5*+ offensive lineman because Bama.

Bama had walk on try outs during the entire Saban era.

And? Every team does tryouts. If they don't, they should.

You could have a very promising career as a writer for CNN.
