I really hope he does. He's a good kid and a ton of fun to watch. He certainly shouldn't be banished to the Jets or Cardinals to live in irrelevancy just yet.

I don't know what his NFL draft outlook is, but his stock will only go down by returning to Ole Miss.

I hope that he does. He deserves another year to put his ability on tape. Good luck.

That’s the only reason I hope they give him another year. Punish the kid by sending him to those shitty teams when he can stay at ole Miss and enjoy playing football.

I hope he gets denied cause he’s a fricking baller and I don’t want to have play against him again… I mean, if I’m being honest

would be a really dumb move imo

his draft stock is pretty high, chance really only to go lower, and this years qb class is fricking awful

wait another year and he could screw himself like allar and klubnik this year

would be great for ole miss though

I honestly don’t think he’d go that high if he left this year. Not that he isn’t good enough I just don’t think nfl teams would value him that high yet. He hasn’t done it a high enough consistency to remove doubt for a first round pick.

Ole Miss is paying him at least $5MM to play next year. That’s a lot of money. It could set him up for life if he’s smart, which he seems to be.

Or...he could be missing out on double or triple that if his stock drops.

This. I think a lot of NFL teams are wondering if he just got hot for 2 months. He needs to prove he can do it consistently to better his draft stock.

It's definitely a risk returning after the year he just had, but he doesn't project as a super high draft pick even now. He's too small and isn't accurate enough as a passer to warrant a draft selection in the first two rounds, maybe not even in the first two days. I don't blame him for trying to come back another year, make a few million dollars in NIL/revenue share, then test the NFL waters. He might make more in NIL this year than he ever makes in the NFL if he doesn't pan out after his rookie deal

You could argue this either way. A bird in the hand and all…

Not sure I understand this. Plenty of examples of one off years turning into first round picks.

That would only hurt him, but hey, the only ones to benefit from this would be his agent and OM. He would be a fool not to declare for the draft.

Very rarely is it a one year starter. Never is it an undersized D2 player.
