He was afraid of recruits finding out what “Ole Miss” really meant. If only we had a time machine to go back in time and start a marketing campaign that would tell RB Lacy and other black people on the roster before the portal closed:

"Ole Miss" refers to the University of Mississippi, with the name originating from its first student yearbook in 1896, though its deeper roots are controversial, stemming from enslaved people's terms for a mistress, but the university embraces it as a unique nickname for the school and its athletic teams, the Rebels, alongside their famous chant, "Hotty Toddy".

Why would any black person go there? I mean it literally says “Ole Miss” on their helmets.

You can't at Ole Miss

Really is that simple.

Kiffin left Ole Miss for the same reason he left all his previous jobs. He's anxious at rest because he's deeply insecure. He desperately needs to feel wanted, so he keeps putting himself into these situations. He obviously didn't get enough attention as a child.

Good coach though.

His media hype was slowing down at Ole Miss. He needed more attention and knew a move like that would put him back on the front page.

insecure

Do you have that tattooed or something?

You’re obsessed with calling people in a more successful place than you “insecure” in hopes of hiding your own obvious insecurity.

Was it the “Texas hasn’t won shite in two decades” posts..?

Has to be.

Jesus, man

fricking stop

I enjoy trash talking Ole Miss as much as any Louisianian.

But, literally, every SEC school has some racist shite in their past (pretty much every ACC and B10 school as well)

I got my Master's in History with a focus on Post-Reconstruction Civil Rights History. . .so come at me if you feel frisky

Didn’t they do an entire rebranding campaign to be the black-bears or black beans or mud sharks, because of things from a long time ago?

The last state to elect a former KKK grand wizard to political office was Louisiana.

Proud LSU alum and former grand wizard of the KKK David Duke was elected by the people of Louisiana to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 1989.

quote:

In 1968, Duke enrolled at Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge. In 1970, he formed a white student group called the White Youth Alliance that was affiliated with the National Socialist White People's Party. He appeared at a demonstration in Nazi uniform carrying a sign reading "Gas the Chicago 7" (a group of left-wing anti-war activists William Kunstler had defended) and "Kunstler is a Communist Jew" to protest Kunstler's appearance at Tulane University in New Orleans.[19][20][2][22] Picketing and holding parties on the anniversary of Adolf Hitler's birth, he became known on the LSU campus for wearing a Nazi uniform.

Good analysis. I concur. That last part is all that matters though. We don't pay them to be well rounded men. We pay them to win. And sometimes that takes an insecure narcissist.

Name the SEC school lacking racist history?

Let's start there

Because Land Shark has multiple origins, most famously SNL
