Here is the problem with Indiana football ...

It proves any team can do it.
If Indiana, why not Kentucky? Heck, why not Notre Dame?
Purdue has no excuse. Ole Miss has no excuse. Auburn has no excuse .... and the list goes on.
If Georgia had not gone back to back in 2021-2022 I would be beside myself. You mean - Indiana can do this, but Georgia can't? Unacceptable!!
So this kind of takes away any excuse from ... any team. Vandy, Northwestern, Texas, Texas aTm, USC, Southern Cal, UCLA, etc., etc., etc.
No excuses. None. Indiana is doing it.

1 hundo. And fans need to call their teams out on this bullshite.
We need more time, more 16 hour days, more money, more facilities ....
No you need more toughness and intelligence.

Why is that a problem
It's not a problem for Indiana fan.
Other than that, it's a problem for the fan of every other team in major college football.

Indiana has a lot more resources than almost every single school you just listed.
You do highlight a problem, though: Most people don’t know that. So mouth breathing non-ball knowers think they’re entitled to the same success.
Indiana has the largest alumni base in the entire country, and dozens of heavy hitting wealthy donors. The NIL era was built for programs like Indiana.

You got to have right coach and a team not loaded with prima Donna’s. They play as much as team as anyone I have seen. Most teams now-a-days are bunch individuals running around. No character.

There are only so many elite coaches to go around. Any team with booster support can buy talent but without a staff to do something with it it's meaningless.

Now explain Indiana’s talent composite. This isn’t all about NIL.

They will have better talent going FWD.
Cuban cutting checks and top portal players are signing up.
That will start in the HS recruiting also.

Uh, no.

What this means now that if the old row, LSU, Bama, UGA, etc, win it, it means more because as original poster said, now anyone can do it.
For these big schools to do it despite the competition, it is more impressive.

It’s not all about NIL in the sense of going and out-bidding everyone for who you want, but it absolutely is in the sense of being able to go and buy a new roster to overhaul your program.
Cignetti did a phenomenal job of identifying the guys he wanted. They’re all pretty close to collecting social security checks, which is something else I think we’ll see trend.
