Why would he get a waiver for a sixth year?

He's arguing for a medical redshirt year

Medical redshirt from 2022 that Ferris State never finished apparently. But in today’s football, who knows.

Ole Miss would break the bank to keep him especially after losing Lane. Have to keep Trinidad to keep morale up.

Our deep playoff run and the possibility of wining a national championship is sort of taking care of fhe moral part

Huge get for Golding either way. Even if he does go to the NFL, he's made a statement to all other players that Ole MIss is still a school worth committing to. This is big news no matter what happens with the waiver IMO.

After what he did to Valdosta State in 2024 and UGA in 2025, I really want him to graduate.

He is not getting a 6th year. He lost time due to being beat out for QB at Ferris. Ferris said it was not for medical reasons. Pretty simple...

Ferris State is also assisting him in this process. He has already submitted the paperwork required. The reason he hasn't be granted the waiver yet is because the NCAA was off for a few weeks for Christmas and New Years.

Is anyone concerned what this will do to OM’s ability to sign a strong portal QB with the prospect of Chambliss returning?

I would be worried that no one would want to sign and then have to beat him out for playing time.

Watch. Why would he be granted a 6th year?

Why wouldn't he just go pro at this point?

Would he not receive a first round grade?

It would be an incredibly risky move. I don't think he gets another year, and if he does, I still think he gets a good enough draft grade to change his mind and go pro.

If he is at Ole Miss next season with a new HC and OC, I will question his intelligence.

So he claims, while to school he attended does not support that claim.
