Can this game alone get DeBoer fired?

Not even trying to be hyperbolic, but you have Herbstreit and Fowler spending the whole 4th quarter talking about what an embarrassment this is and how Bama's rep is taking a huge hit.

Can't imagine the Bama boosters are liking that.

The only thing saving DeBoer is the highly depleted state of the Head Coaching market.

But his seat is going to be flaming hot.

It would be the most SEC thing ever if bama fired DeBoer and hired Kiffin.

I would be extremely surprised if Bama doesn't at least call Kiffin to check on interest.

If Kiffin willing to come to Alabama. Then yes that will be a double edge sword to LSU and their fans if this happens.

In the pre-NIL era, no, a single loss wouldn’t do it.

But now if you piss off enough of the big money donors…

One thing is for sure.

Perennial winners don't lose like this. Ever.

it would be really dumb to fire a playoff coach at this point in the season.

personally i hope they do it and nebraska themselves

Reminiscent of LSU-A&M embarassment that got Kelly fired.

Bamas prestige got ripped apart tonight on the field and the broadcast. Theyre soft, not the same culture there anymore

I doubt it gets him fired. But couple this with the SECCG and Byrne absolutely can demand that DeBoer make changes on his staff. You don't get to end the year like this and start the next one with all your buddies in tow.

Worst loss since 1998

Blown out to start the season, to end the regular season, and to end the post season.

I don't know if you fire him but I can't think of a coach getting this badly beaten this many times who turned it around and won a national championship.

Did it happen to Spurrier more than once in a season? He did get blown out a couple times against like 95 Nebraska and a FSU team here and there
