you may hate pollack but he is right on money ...
"Does Alabama on the offensive line have a talent problem? Do they have untalented guys? Do they have small, tiny guys? Their center is pretty small. Besides that, do they have small, tiny guys? They are big physical dudes that should be able to move me. They should be able to move people. It doesn't make sense. The lack of toughness and physicality on the offensive line, it doesn't make sense."

The line was very good the last 2.5 quarters at Oklahoma. The decision to have Carroll at right tackle and move Formby to guard seems to have settled things down. Also helps to have Dewberry healthy.

Wow, so our Center is small and the rest of our guys lack toughness and aren't physical enough, despite being large human beings.
This is a groundbreaking analysis. We should send this info to Coach Kap!
Can't imagine why ESPN canned him.

Always has been. He’s a prick.

Pollock was also too small. The juice helped him when he was in college

Don’t understand why 75 over 77 at RG, not like 75 is very shifty or athletic, also 71 is much better than 56 at LG yet 56 got a couple series vs OU, don’t understand the shuffling this late in the season. Not like you give OL a break during games it’s like QB and need to stay in rhythm and not rotate. Thoughts?

56 played the 1st half at LG. 71 played LG the 2nd half and he was terrible. 77 played RG the 2nd half and 75 RT.
This OL Coach is terrible. His substitution pattern makes no sense unless he is trying to keep players fresh. It sure as hell isn't about productivity.
I hope to read that he will not return as OL coach for 2026.

I don't remember a time when the oline was substituted this much this late in the season except for injuries.

Proctor and Brailsford are the only ones he keeps in for the most part and shuffles the rest, very odd strategy. Never seen this before at any level.

He conveniently leaves out the fact that while Brailsford is a bit undersized, he makes up for it with quickness and technique.
Pollock is such a Georgia homer, it’s literally impossible for him to have any objectivity regarding Bama.

It’s insane. And as easy as it is to blame the OL coach there are (at least) two other coaches he has to answer to that could tell him to cut it out anytime they wanted to.

I would argue when we just ask them to come off the ball and go hat on a hat that they do well. All of the pulling and getting them into space doesn’t seem to have really caught on with this group.

We do a lot of that; a ton really. That is what we will continue to see. I think Carroll and Sanders fit what the coaches want to do. Those two just need more time in the weight room.
Roberts i think is banged up and cant give a lot of snaps. Or he is just in the doghouse. Either way, he doesn't really fit the scheme.
Dewberry is a mystery to me. Seems inconsistent. One week he is knocking somebody's dick in the dirt. Next week he is whiff blocking. I dont know what's going on with him. Maybe injuries.
GVDM; somebody get this guy some steroids and he would be awesome. Actually, there has got to be some technique problem because he shouldnt be getting knocked off his feet so often.
Proctor and Brailsford are studs at the college level. If they morphed into one player they would be Larry Allen.

It’s not even weekly inconsistency. It’s in game. One play he decimated someone then the next he gets knocked on his arse and Ty gets sacked.
In the OU game thread he pushed someone around and ESPN had a camera angle on his face and he looked PISSED and locked in. I said keep running behind him and he got dealt with.

Me either. There’s no explanation for it imo.

Dewberry was pretty bad vs OU.

Seriously y'all?
EVERY single one of us has been on here bitching about how bad our OL play has been. Yet when someone that played at a rival's school he's not being objective..
I got a news flash for you boys. Our OL play for 80% of the season has been shite and we all know it's been shite. Even when Ty was lighting everyone up in the first part of the season he was running for his life and our running game has been non existent ALL year.
We're reduced to running trick plays on 3rd and 2 FFS.

Not what I’m saying. I’m saying is Bama could have all 5 starters on the O line could be consensus All Americans and Pollock would still claim they suck.
It’s one thing to be genuinely objective but if you’ve watched/listened to Pollock on a long term basis (and I have), the guy acts like some guy from Bama stole his girlfriend and is still butt hurt over it.
I’m not saying our O line has played well (they have been at best inconsistent) but to say they (basically) all suck is simply not true. Proctor projects as a 1st round pick. Brailsford is one of the better centers out there. Michael Carroll has struggled at times but you can see flashes of potential.

Probably has a lot to do with the fact Bama has owned UGA for the most part for almost two decades.
