So they gave ND something to appease them, but will end up having no real value. Calling it now.

If this stupidity and inconsistency is how they are going to decide top teams, then just do 16 and get rid of the byes. Teams 1-4 are still rewarded by getting home games against the weakest opponents, and ESPN gets to make more money.

This is such a stupid sport. Why don’t they have the foresight for ANYTHING?
Jim Bob Bubba frick was calling into talk shows years ago when the expansion was first announced. Even guys like him could see the potential failures.
And let’s be real: 16 team playoff will have the same bullshite. They’ll keep G5 teams in. They won’t value conference championships. They’ll rank and place teams based on ratings and money. Some teams will get left out when they should be in and some teams will get in that should be left out.

College football is going to two conferences like the NFL and you will have to be in those to make the playoffs.
The NFL is using the colleges money to build their C league and then they will take it over once it’s built but the colleges are too stupid to see that.
I kind of wish that would happen and all of the 4 and 5 stars would get out of college all together and we could go back to recruiting kids like we did in the 60’s

When there were 2 teams, the 3rd complained.
When there were 4 teams, the 5th complained.
Now there are 12 teams, and the 13th complained.
Somebody always feels like they got the short end of the stick. That will never go away.

16 teams means no bye. It means that ND, Texas are not left out. It is absolutely going to sixteen teams
