In a league of small people. I'm trying hard not to offend anyone.

I can say this because OU filled the role for many years, repetitively winning the Big-12 then losing in the playoff.

Oregon is the beneficiary of the seeding, as they get a tune-up vs JMU before they put Tech in their rightful place.

Maybe. I'm not sold on Oregon.

In the latter years of OU's Big XII run, they did it mostly with offense in an offense oriented league. Tech is built rather differently. Maybe that will make a difference, maybe not.

They’d beat Oklahoma imo.

I don’t know man. Hard to take anything away from that BYU game, their QB was pathetically bad but I like Tech’s QB and their defense looked pretty good

Texas Tech appears to have all the OU, Texas and A&M posters on this board feeling some type of way.

I hope we get to play them. Not only would that mean we had a deep run, but it’d be a fun week of smack talk.

Ironic, Tech is built, in some ways a lot like OU- Great D but the difference is we have an offence with a pulse and very good special teams. Another huge advantage, as illustrated, by your post, is that people will take us lightly. So by all means keep that nose in the air and that entitlement mentality. I hope others do the same.

We are hungry, yet take nothing for granted. OU before going to the SEC was entitled. That is the difference. That and you cant play offense at all.

Amen. That would be a great game and so much fun. With a new generation relearning an epic level of hate and smack.

TTU looks PDG

I expect TTU to win some in the playoffs

TTU and Indiana are biggest beneficiaries of the new NIL and Portal rules and have billionaires behind their expenditures

Not sure why people keep underestimating Tech. Yes - the Big 12 is down this year and post-Texas/OU exits it is even farther below the SEC/Big 10 than it was. But Tech is an exceptionally well coached team (their defense in particular), and it’s not just that they spent money in the portal it’s how they spent it/matched players to their system. If Morton plays well (not a guarantee), I’m not so sure I wouldn’t put their odds behind only UGA/OSU. I hope Indiana wins due to family ties, but despite their record don’t think they will.

OU's punter and placekicker are their season MVPs

The possibility for that match-up exists in the semi-final on January 9th. Maybe we'll get to find out for sure rather than just everyone and their dog having an opinion.

OU under the latter half of Stoops tenure and certainly Riley never had much/any defense. Tech can handle Oregon. Indiana and Tech would be fun since they have taken a similar approach with the portal. I’d give Indiana the edge because of their QB.
