I can see Lane leaving so he will have an easier path to the playoffs every year.

But Sumrall could stay at Tulane and go every year if he keeps building the program up.

Doubt Florida ever gets to the playoffs anytime soon.

I do not know the contract situations of each, but I bet he’s maybe doubling his salary at Florida. When it comes to money they don’t give a frick about chances of going to the playoff. At least I wouldn’t.

In the history of bad takes, this is historically bad.

I can think of 7.45 million reasons why he went to UF. Even if he is a bust he made bank.

He has a 6 year, $44.7 million contract (averaging $7.45M/year)

Why do people think making a 12 team playoff is the ultimate goal?

You can probably do that nearly anywhere, at times.

You are saying that if Sumrall had stayed at Tulane they would make the playoffs every year.

What is wrong with people here?

Which newly hired HCs will make the playoffs over the others?

So much to unpack in your thread.

Ole Miss is in the playoffs. LSU is not.

LSU and Ole Miss now have the same number of playoff appearances.

Brian Kelly would have likely made a 12 team playoff 5 times in 12 seasons at Notre Dame, that is how many times he finished ranked in the top 11. He would have definitely made it 4 times, when he was inside the top 8.

But he couldn’t do it once at LSU.

Now you are expecting the hottest coaching name in college football to take you to the next level, just like Tom Herman did at Texas and Lincoln Riley has done at USC.

You’re all ate my man, probably should take a break from posting.

Your obsession with LSU is not healthy.

they changed the playoff rules last year. They'll change them next year. Tulane isn't going every year. May not go again

The first sentence of this thread:

“I can see Lane leaving so he will have an easier path to the playoffs every year.”

The very first sentence in this thread was about Lane Kiffin.

The problem for some people, like you, is they are just too damn stupid to be a part of civilized society.

With a nine game conference schedule, statistically only two of the six new hires will be successful.

The other four program fans will be calling for heads to roll within three years or less.

Kirby warned everyone last night about the fallout.

Kirby himself can survive the insanity, but other programs will be repeating the same buyout pattern that has now become the new norm.

I thought he quit the Florida gig because of “health issues”?…or maybe it was because he needed more “family time”?

Whatever…he bailed out on FL for one & Ohio State for the other.

Maybe he’s just an unhealthy idiot with family problems?

You never fail to jump all over the bait.

No matter how heavy the leader, no matter how poorly rigged the bait, as soon as you see it you just maul it.

I may not be a troll god, but you sure can’t resist. If only real fish were as stupid as you.
