Ole Miss AD Keith Carter should have learned a lesson from Tulane AD David Harris

Why Tulane AD David Harris is letting Sumrall FINISH THE SEASON despite him taking the Florida job. Keith Carter - take note and stop making Lane Kiffin out to be the villain. No reason something similar couldn't have been worked out for Ole Miss. Reb fans - blame your AD, not Lane. He had to go an act like an insecure little brother and that's why the last 48 hrs were as contentious as they were. Did not need to be this way.

Do not even try to act like Tulane to Florida is in any way comparable to Ole Miss to LSU.

Are Tulane and Florida in the same conference and do they play each other every single year? Do they routinely compete for the same pool of players? Was Lane asking to finish out the season and THEN go to LSU... or to go to LSU but still be allowed to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs?

Good lord if anyone thinks the LSU head coach would be allowed to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs?
Like how could anyone even think so. Its ludicrous

Tulane has more SEC championships than Ole Miss.
Ole Miss isn’t that much of a step up from Tulane if we’re honest.

I don't know that LSU and Ole Miss are routinely competing for the same pool of players

It’s closer than OM fans will ever admit.

Did Sumrall demand to coach Tulane through the playoffs and make threats if he was not allowed to do sot?
Kiffin and the Sexton Mafia at CAA KNEW Ole Miss could not let him coach through the playoffs. It was all PR. Sumrall played ZERO games with Tulane.

If you cheat on one of these two, you're done. If you cheat on the other, you can stick around a bit longer

This LSU fan narrative is bizarre. In no world should Kiffin be allowed by OM to coach their team any longer.
I’d argue that Tulane shouldn’t allow it either, but it’s a different enough situation that I could see it going either way.

Would LSU allow their coach to coach in the playoffs if he just signed with Alabama? Me thinks no.
If LSU coach sent his family to Tuscaloosa during a bye week their coach probably would have been fired on the spot.

They know. They’re either lying to themselves or trolling. Or both.

If they think a twice fired head coach who cheated on his wife and has never won a real conference championship, is worth that kind of money then I am ok with them taking a chance. It is lunacy befitting a Latoya Cantrell supporter to assume he will be a guaranteed success.

Why is it so hard for you LSU fans to admit a known a-hole who has burned bridges at every school he's ever coached at acted like an a-hole and burned bridges on the way out at Ole Miss?
Like holy shite do y'all really not remember how basically the entirety of tRant bagged on Ole Miss for hiring him in the first place b/c we all knew he'd up up leaving in a messy as hell fashion?

Why would we let Lane coach if he didn’t believe his team could win?

Still, why would you axe the opportunity to win a natty? That doesn’t come around too often. Those bring in a lot of money not to mention school pride.
It’s just petty shite. Would be a win win scenario for both Lane and Ole Miss.

When Houston Nutt was let go and immediately went to Ole Miss, the PTB at Arkansas were dumb enough to let his assistants stay and coach the bowl game and recruit WITHOUT locking them up long term. They purposely tanked the bowl game to Mizzou to make the Hogs look bad, and when they ALL left took many of our recruits with them.
I applaud AD Carter (Perryville, AR) for cutting the cord the way he did, wish our AD at the time would've done the same.
