I don't even think it's considered Top 10 by most CFB pundits.

The petty shite like the Longhorns denying Reveille access to DKR just adds to it lmao.

Is it truly a rivarlry if one side has dominated?

Before the aggie jump in and say that the riavalry is lopsided because they were once an all-male military school, the only thing you ever did that ever matterd in the history of college football was when you were an all-male military school.

So aggies, go ahead and thump you chest about you success in the 80s/90s when you cheated like crazy and were constantly on probation.

Wasn't it scholly limits that started evening things out? I'll let the experts chime in on that instead of me (not an expert)

A&M needs to sell Bevo burgers at the game next year.

Both sides need to have greater than a .311-win percentage for it to be a national rivalry.

I feel like it’s back half of the top ten by pundits

It’s been out of the spotlight for over a decade prior to last year tho so that didn’t help

There is a 1,700 page on surlyhorns about the Aggies. OU is like 70-something.

But, sure.

Things have never evened out. Aggie went 10-1 from 84-94, when they started handing out bags and getting put on probation every other year. Texas dominated the series both before and after that.

Series is 19 - 19 since 1975. Including the fact tu dodged us during the Manziel years.

Imposition of scholarship limits, admission of large numbers of women to Texas A&M, and the removal of mandatory corp membership leveled the playing field.

Anybody claiming domination over a significant period of time has to go back to leather helmet days,

There is no 10 year period of time in the history of the rivalry outside of 1984-1994 where A&M has won any thing approaching 50% of the games. From when scholly limits were implemented in 1973 through 1983 Texas went 7-4. From 1995-today Texas is 13-5. In the 35 years prior to 1973, Texas was 31-3-1. A&M did well for an 11 year period.

The end.

During the lifetime of anyone posting on this forum, the series is essentially even.

Is it really productive to micro-analyze relative success earlier than that?

Is it productive to look at anything other than the entirety of the series, or the last 10-25 years?

Periods? Plural? Our rival has been really good one time — Singular — In the history of the rivalry. That’s the point.

So then it’s no big deal if we win tomorrow. I’m sure you won’t even watch.
