Bixby #1 been there all year. These schools will have tons of college coaches attending games (and have already). 10 of 25 from texas. 5 from Georgia.

Rivals High School
@RivalsHS

NEW: Bixby (OK) remains at the top spot in the updated National High School Football Top 25 via Massey Ratings

So many Texas teams producing all that talent, and yet A&M and Texas can’t capitalize on it (even with all their other resources).

It really is mind boggling.

I always wonder how they come up with these things given the thousands of differences across states.

MaxPreps has Bixby 16th for instance.

SI has Bixby at 21

The NFL has a rankings system that has Bixby at 88!

USA Today has a system that has them at 17

#7 Buford and #10 Grayson are both Georgia 6A and will probably play each other in the state title game.
It would be cool if the California Southern Section D1 winner and Georgia 6A winner played each other every year at a neutral site because those are usually the toughest brackets in the country.

MaxPreps still hasn't updated for this weekend's games.

#6 Corner Canyon, who just won the Ut 6A state championship, defeated #3 IMG earlier this year 35 -35 in Florida.

It’s always been weird. The export of talent from Texas to the rest of the country is one of the strangest anomalies in sports. Especially with the whole “Texas pride” thing that these guys grow up around.

These rankings have largely been bullshite and hype anyways. When you realize that most, if not all of the teams perennially on the list recruit kids to one degree or another, the house of cards is less appealing.

It will have lots of variance. There are tons of so called insiders who do nothing but track HS recruiting. They attend games all over the country to talk with players. Its an industry of its own. So they will provide inputs on games they watch.

I agree each ranking service will use different metrics and info to do their rankings. But they’ve been doing this for years too and I would have no clue which is better. Someone would need to research past years and rankings to see which was more accurate. I do know Rivals has had Bixby at the top all year long so they must be doing good to keep it.

They also can compare early season games when lots of HS’s play out of state top teams.

Bixby is good.

But I don’t see how they’re the best team in the country. They have like two division one recruits on that whole team.

We both suck at hiring head coaches. We both like to grab the flashiest guy available without even bothering to analyze if they are a good fit.
You guys "settled" for elko which appears to have finally been the perfect fit. Once Sark is run out of town, I don't have much faith that we'll do the same.

Yeah, they had the Mater Dei St. John Bosco game on tv a few weeks back and I tuned in out of curiosity.

Holy wow there was a lot of elite talent on both sides of the ball.

Mater Dei had:

a 5 star and a 4 star set of receivers both committed to Ohio State

a 5 star offensive tackle committed to Washington

A 5 star Tight End and two 4 star D Lineman going to Southern Cal

The QB was committed to Wisconsin

Bosco had two 4 star WRs going to A&M and Oklahoma

a 3 star DE going to Oregon

a 3 star LB going to UCLA

a 3 star CB going to USC

Rivals is always waaaay too heavily biased towards Texas high schools with their team rankings. I beleive they have many Texas Longhorn homers on their staff.

Maxprep has the more sensible rankings, albeit a bit California leaning and only one Texas school in their Top 25 this week.
