LSU can’t trust Lane because he has a history of leaving for the next big job. And that will make them paranoid as hell. On the other hand Lane can’t trust LSU will stick with him even if he wins a NC or honor a contract (if they want to fire him for not meeting expectations) based on how they have treated their past coaches, some of whom had won National championships at LSU.
Now what football player wants to be stuck in this kind of environment.

Lol k. We don't give a shite if he eventually bolts. Already happened with Saban and it doesn't get worse than that. Plus we fire our coaches who win natties anyway.

I think you are forgetting that Kiffin coached at Alabama for a couple of years. We have lived through the antics and drama that seems to surround Lane Kiffin. For what you get out of him it’s not worth it. The dude probably cost us a natty back in 2016 I think it was. I would argue that his pitiful play calling cost Bama a shot to play for another in 2014. You should take the comments about Kiffin from Bama fans as a warning.

They haven’t gotten a chance to look for a job. LSU has shown them the door way before those coaches wanted to leave lol. Coach O would be a Tiger today if LSU had not fired him for poor performance. Coach O would have died a Tiger. Just watching from several states away it was plain and clear that Coach O loved LSU. LSU just didn’t love him back.

I’m not going to disagree. But you’re a Bama fan. Failure hasn’t been in your vocabulary since 2006. We at Ole Miss have put up with infantile tweets and childish behavior. With that an a light conference schedule as well as a well funded NIL program we’ve had success. LSU will do the same. They have become like Florida going through coaches trying to keep up with Alabama. Like Freeze time will tell if he is a magician or the world has changed with NIL.
The schedule gets a whole lot more difficult no matter where he goes. With the portal he has no excuses. No 4 year rebuild excuse. His next jump will be his last job. I’ve said that for 6 years. Time will tell.
