Ole Miss averaged 103% attendance in 2025, which was 66,378 fans per game. That is 244% the population of Oxford.
Our current coach stealer school, LSU, averaged 99.59% of capacity at 101,900. That is 46% of the population of Baton Rouge.

So the capacity of LSU's stadium in 1953?

Should factor proximity to a major metro area. Oxford is only 21,000 population, but it's only an hour away from the Memphis metro area. Still impressive though.
This has always been an issue for Mizzou. Despite it being a large state without other major programs to contend with, Columbia is two hours away from both KC and St. Louis. There isn't a ton around Columbia (although that is changing as the city has grown a lot over the past 10-15 years).

This isn’t the flex you think it is

If LSU had a home game attendance of 68,000 TS would look like a ghost town. Maybe brag about actually being a better team than us this year instead because this thread is not a flex at all.

The most we've gotten into the stadium for football is 70K. But Fayetteville is 3 times the size of Oxford at a conservative estimate. The greater Ozarkopolis of NW Arkansas is cranking in at 250K, though, again, that is the low ball estimate.

The estimated population of Oxford, MS, including University of Mississippi students, is approximately 54,000 people.

Renting your home out out on Air BnB for games and grad weeks is a lucrative side hustle in and around Oxford

Sell out capacity is 101,915 and we've sold out every home game.
Knoxville city limits: 200k~ (Because of the small and outdated city limit/boundaries)
Knox County: 505k~
Knoxville metro: 950k~
Random side note - All of Davidson county is considered Nashville city limits. If Knoxville / Knox County did the same then the city population shoots to over 500k. This irks me more than I care to admit

Two whole hours, huh?
College Station’s closest big city is Houston. Depending on where you are there, that’s either 90 minutes away, or 3 hours.
You can be in Houston and still be an hour and a half away from Houston.
On weekends where both Texas and A&M have home games, US 290 is a constant wagon train that splits in Hempstead.

Truth!
That’s like TS attendance after halftime numbers, there.

62000 vs 320,000.
Funny thing is when Tim Couch was QB they expanded the stadium. Barnhart shrunk it 10 years ago by 6000 seats. Maybe Cutter Boley will cause another expansion.

My biggest regret in life was not buying a bunch of rental properties in Oxford when interest rates were low a few years ago

The Houston metro area has a population of 7.8 million. That's almost 2 million more people than the entire State of Missouri. Apples and oranges.
Edit: That doesn't even consider the 8.1 million people in the Dallas metro 2 and a half hours away, the 2.4 million people in the Austin metro two hours away, or the 2.6 million people in the San Antonio metro three hours away.
I don't think it's a controversial take that way more people live in eastern Texas than in Missouri. Not taking away from A&M's great fanbase, but y'all have about 16 million more people who can get in a car and drive to your stadium within three hours than Mizzou does.

Got a condo in Turnberry when Eli was in school.
It’s been nice

Texas also has 7 P4 schools in the state to soak up fans.
According to Google AI, you have zero competition, including yourselves.
When even Google doesn’t think Missouri is an SEC team, you’ve got issues.
