Do we know who our qb will be?

Hate to burn a kid's redshirt for that one.

Doh. I should have read the thread below this one. So no Daniels.

according to the press conference notes, Ashton will sit and JA and DK will both get PT. A decision on the starter will be made later in the week

Massey has us winning 42-10.

That said, Mercer does have a good QB against their competition. Defense seems serviceable against their competition- not great.

We will be starting a known and or an unknown at QB. Both will play- supposedly- who knows about rhythm or game flow.

Hopefully they start JA and get us a lead and allow Duece a pad to work with.

Based on Alabama St for the known QB and Ball State for the unknown—-

Gotta think Duece kills at least one or two possessions with youth and or inexperience. Gotta think JA kills at least one drive with bad decisions.

That’s at least 3/4 empty possessions.

We had 13 possessions against Ball State- 6 were empty possessions. They are one of the worst teams in football. Still scored 42.

We had 8 possessions against Alabama State. 2 were empty possessions. Still scored 31.

I think this is likely much less dominating than we will want.

Auburn wins. And we give up 5 sacks somehow. I bet the margin will not be greater than 17 because we will Auburn in some way.

We will somehow make one of their DE draft worthy with O line play.

No doubt.

Deuce exceeded my expectations for sure. Hats off to him for showing out. I don’t care who the opponent was- he delivered, and quite frankly I wasn’t totally expecting it based completely on a very limited sample size and all the talk from CHF about how he wasn’t ready. He might not be totally ready for an SEC defense, but he showed reason to NOT throw the baby out with the bath water. The right coach and the right schemes and Deuce is a menace.

It looked dicey early- but I was very happy to see the team get it together and make my prediction wrong.
