No one I know personally actually believes Kiffin is announcing today. It makes zero sense. What makes today different than last week?

Nothing, people are hoping to be first on the news. The longer he waits the more leverage he gets and better deal. This is why no extension or deal has been signed in ink. Will be interesting to see the ending and the price along with the teams that get left in 2nd place how quickly they have someone else named.
I think that most head coaching things will be a done deal around the last regular season game.

Nobody knows where kiffin is going at this point. I don’t even think Kiffin knows what he’s doing yet. The longer he waits the more leverage.
LSU doesn’t exactly have a history of going for the biggest named coach. The only big name coach LSU got was BK and we saw how that went, I’d love kiffin. But I’d also love other options as well, Id hate a Drinkwitz hire I feel like he’d be a younger BK and wouldn’t fit.

Honestly I feel bad for Ole Miss fans and I feel bad for Florida fans as well.
I like Kiffin. I think he’s good for college football.
But Kiffin has gotten into diva status and like all divas, don’t kid yourself that he is not thoroughly enjoying every single second of this attention and pining away for him, all the while he “tries to downplay it all”.
I suspect Lane will milk things out as long as he reasonably can. It sucks for Ole Miss fans, it sucks for Gators fans, but at this moment in time, life couldn’t be any better for Lane.

It's not Lane, it's not the UF administration, it's not the UM admin, it's not even major donors to UF. It's gator sidewalk fans making all the ruckus.
