Alabama
LSU
Florida
Texas
Georgia
Tennessee
Oregon
Auburn
Ohio State
Michigan
USC
Miami

I believe Clemson and FSU is no longer capable. Other than that, nothing has changed.

Notre Dame and Penn State can still win a NC. I really hope we get a Texas Tech or Indiana title this year. It would be good for the sport.

Penn State isn’t even on the radar….I get the argument for Notre Dame.

I call BS. I hope someone not on your list wins it this year, just to prove you wrong.

ANY program can win a natty in this era. It’s all about who has the most money, spends it the best & has the best coach for that team, that particular year. Indiana is #2 in the country for fricks sake. This parody will only continue as the NIL-portal era goes forward.

Lol. So if LSU hires a really good coach they can’t win it anytime soon? Dumb

It’s the era of NIL. Either could in two years with the right guy.

Auburn made the final game in 2013 after winning 3 games the year before, pre-NIL

1. How long has it been since having money and the best coach / recruiter wasn’t at the forefront of the sport?

2. Wake me up when a team that hasn’t won a national title in my lifetime (or since ‘78) spends a bunch of money and does so.

I think you could add Georgia tech and maybe Washington in there. Rare but they both won natties in the 1990’s. Not likely but UW was just there a couple of years ago with DeBoer.

Actually, that needed to happen during the golden era. But happening now, it would signal that CFB is no longer a major sport.

Now, is when you need a major CFB team to win to bring back some credibility.

Yeah, the difference was some programs refused to use that money to cheat or cheat on the level of the powerhouse programs. Now you can openly pay for rosters. This era is in its infancy. You will see non-traditional programs reaching high levels in the coming years. It’s early in this era. Name-brands are not as important as “frick you, pay me”

You are quite naive to think NIL & portal aren’t going to shift the CF landscape immensely over the coming years.

This has always been the case.

It's why Clemson suddenly became a contender under Dabo and LSU became a contender with Saban.

They started spending the money necessary to compete. NIL didn't change things in that arena as much as some here insist.

Having Auburn in this list and not OU is laughable.
