Kiffin should go to Penn State.

He will be a big fish in a small pond at Mississippi. LSU does not want to honor its agreements and pay its coaches. And Florida, might as well stay where he is.

Why would he want to coach in a lesser conference at a lesser school?

...That's exactly what he likes about OM. To your point though, that could wear thin on him if fans get too comfortable with their newfound status in the top 5 of the conference.

Why would a student go to a lesser school?

That's (Penn St) no longer a step up.

You spelled NFL incorrectly.

What is so wrong with Kiffin being at Ole Miss? Can someone, anyone, answer that?

The conference doesn't want you to win? The refs will make sure of that.

Not a thing and I expect him to stay for a while longer despite the multiple openings out there.
If I'm wrong and he does leave this year, my guess would be Florida or maybe UCLA since he was at USC previously

Some people (most people) strive for more prestigious positions in their careers… no matter how much you want to believe it, Ole Miss is not and will never be an elite program.
I know that realization can ding the ego a bit and you all are a sensitive bunch.

Nothing, and Kiffin may stay there. But:
- The CFB world is only getting more expensive. OIe Miss probably isn't about to triple in size or wealth. Mississippi isn't about to develop a major business hub to draw from.
- I think Kiffin can do 90% of what he wants to from Ole Miss. But what I think Ole Miss fans don't acknowledge is that it will, eventually, dry up other pools or put constraints on the program. There would be be more headroom elsewhere.
- PSU would never make sense for Kiffin, or any job of that sort. I think Kiffin has changed somewhat (and that's why he might stay at OM). But I still think he wants a platform to be a personality. Drab programs like PSU are not the place, despite history and wealth.
- I continue to think that UF is the only school that makes sense. FL ties, big state, wealthy state, lots of opportunity for air time and unlimited upward potential. In future cycles, that may be Texas, but I don't necessarily see a lot of elite tier jobs that would be attractive to Lane coming on the horizon.
I'd guess 40% Ole Miss, 50% UF, 10% elsewhere

PSU already hired drink. Move on.

When Southerners think of Pennsylvania, this is what we think:

Joey Fresh isn't interested in women built for Northern winters.

maybe UCLA
Would require complete program transformation. They are not seriously committed to football in any real capacity.

Nobody that is a legitimate good coach is taking that UCLA job,
the stands are empty and they have 0 commitment to football from a university, administrative, and NIL standpoint.
Kiffin would never go to PSU not a cultural fit and he hates cold weather.
