I agree with him.
Indiana should be 2. It's win at Oregon is more impressive than anything Ohio State has done.

OSU is #1 in Sagarin, SP+, Game Control, FPI.
A&M is #1 in SOR
If you want to put A&M #1 because you think they are the best, do it. But they simply don't have the highest metrics as of today

I want to see what CFPC does tomorrow. If they follow suit, then what is the point of scheduling tough OOC games. They could have played the Citadel and gotten the same result.

At the worst, A&M should be 2. If not, ooc scheduling means nothing. Look at who Indiana played. It's a joke.

this is where I am.. it doesn’t really matter though
I’m guessing Oregon would have preferred the 2 or 3 last year to avoid Ohio State.
1 is likely staring at..
1 vs Oregon/Ole Miss/Texas Tech?

vs Georgia or Alabama
then
vs the winner of the other bracket

Looking into the SOR:
ESPN SOR Criteria
OSU gets dinged for Strength of Schedule in that calculation but is #1 in everything else. Ditto for IU.
A&M finished first due to SOS . . . .They lag both Indiana and OSU on FPI, Poll Rankings, Game Control Rank, & Average Win Probability

And again, I'm not saying A&M shouldn't be #1 if you think they are the best.
I just want someone to respond to these coaches when they say completely inaccurate things. Instead they just nod their heads and then people say it's correct without actually looking into anything

We should not be #1. I could see an argument for #2 given Indiana nearly losing to a bad PSU team. However, I prefer us to stay at #3 and continue to be bashed and disrespected.
Would love to see the committee drop us below Bama and Georgia. I think our team plays better with a chip on their shoulder.
