Still don’t think he’s a great OC. Great players are making him look better than he is.
And up theee scores, with a couple minutes in the game… who runs Simpson off left tackle?
So stupid

He’s a long ways from great! Compared to Kiffin and Sark, he’s average.

Jam up the middle is totally gonna work. Just give it time.

Im gonna hold my judgment until next season when he has his QB.
Ty is good, but he has streaks where he absolutely looks average

Ty missed two touchdown throws and a handful of other ones.
Make those and everyone thinks Grubb called a good game.
Grubb I’m sure could be better but when you can’t get anything out of the run game it’s tough.

Who is “his QB”? He didn’t recruit any of the ones we have now.

Wouldn’t it be the job of the OC to fix that? Whether it be scheme, personnel, play calls?

He was Austin Mack's primary recruiter to get him to Washington FWIW.
Ain't got a dog in this fight though.

He’s trying. We do all kinds of shite to try and run the ball, we play lots of different linemen, and nothing clicks. My feeling is that our OL coach needs to go. We have talented guys up there and clearly they aren’t being coached well.

Grubb isn’t going to change his scheme at this point in the year and we are stuck with the personnel we have. The problem is this isn’t the kind of offensive line DeBoer and Grubb prefer for their stuff, especially in the running game, and we don’t have a really elite back on the roster.

The Oline is the worst run blocking line in the SEC and has has the worst running back starter in maybe FBS.

You’re kind of limited when the RBs are a mash unit or don’t fit the offense. And the OL is not particularly great at getting a push in the run game.

Yeah Im thinking the OL coach is a miss

Grubbs just doesn't have a feel for the game.
What that does for the players is it causes inconsistency and inability to execute because they are out of sync.
Ty didn't play well tonight, and we cannot run the ball for nothing so it's on the players too.

They may be talented but the kind of offensive linemen Nick Saban wanted are 180 degrees removed from the kind of offensive linemen DeBoer and Grubb want.

This is accurate. The playcalling leads to no rhythm on offense.

Well DeBoer brought in Dewberry, Vandemark, Carroll, and Brailsford who play a lot. If those aren’t the kind of guys they want then why did he bring them here?

sark and Kiffin had great running games. I don’t love the play calling but hard to make anything work when we’re so one dimensional

He is awful.. The guy sucks.

I'd give my left arm to have Jim McElwain at OC. Ya know, where we put the QB under center, our OL put their hand in the dirt and fired out and blew people off the line of scrimmage. Our RBs actually attacked the line instead of passively sitting on their heels waiting for the QB to receive the shotgun snap 4 yds deep.
