That Kiffin is waiting to see if ole miss will make the playoffs before deciding if he is leaving or staying. If they don’t make it he’s leaving.

Making a 12 team playoff is not that big of a deal. If you lose in the first or second round you’re not exactly a championship program.

There are scenarios where they drop 1 and still dont make it, out of all the possible 10-2 SEC teams they would have the weakest resume. Best win would be OU and no other ranked teams. And OU has one of the hardest remaining schedules in the conference, they could end up unranked

Ole Miss would have to fully collapse not to make the playoff. If he did take the UF job he would finish out the playoff if they let him I would think. The longer he doesn't sign an extension the more likely it is he is possibly leaving.

I’m sure the donor is saying it would be really tough for an AD to wait to hire a guy after Christmas or into January. That is a huge risk. You have to absolutely know you have Lane before the end of November to even consider that.

I know the Chancellor and have for 25 years or more. He has not said a word about Kiffin (but I haven't seen him in several weeks).
