Maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t Payton Thorne

This is the same stuff we saw last year. Thorne just took chances throwing the ball (mostly interceptions) and Arnold doesn’t, he just takes sacks. I think Arnold was coached to hold the ball and not turn it over like Thorne.

I think we have the modern day version of Houston Dale Nutt the QB killer.

Thorne was significantly more productive, with less talent, than what we've gotten this year.

Thorne would've taken us bowling with this team.

Like most things, it is never all or nothing. I watched Thorne completely ignore wide open receivers over and over again. He shares plenty of blame for his bad play. Hugh does as well.

I knew it wasn't Payton Thorne but I also knew Payton was only average.

I dont like how the fanbase always throws the QB under the bus. Looking all the way back to Sean White- these QBs
White, Jarret Stidham, Bo Nix, and so on our QBs leave out of here with a bad taste in their mouth. We need QBs to want to be here and to leave here with their head held high.

Anyone who tried to pin our lack of offensive production on either of these guys knows NOTHING about football.
A shitty offensive scheme and bad OL/WR play can make an NFL QB look bad.

Fans mostly liked Jarret. Jarret's camp expressed immense frustration in his second year at Gus's offense.

Jarret played that second year like a mercenary that wanted to be done with Auburn.

Bo Nix should have never went to Auburn, but he did. I saw his brick at the Harbert recruiting complex and glad to call him an alum.

His worst decision was coming to play for Hugh

Apologies to Peyton. Seems like a good dude to maximize his talent, which was marginal. He wasn’t a very good player in crunch time, but Hugh may have put him in an untenable situation

And now Nix is the hottest QB in the NFL.

But Bo isn't NFL material. Won't even get drafted or so I was told

Everything to do with the offense over the last 3 years has been coaching malpractice

Meanwhile, that same shitty offense and coach has the #1 offense in football after 80% of the season.

Stidham sucked balls. Bo didnt.

Throne sucked balls then fingered the arse hole. Freeze paid for all that nonsense with his Auburn Amex card

Probably hard to make consistently good decisions when your play caller has no strategy, the offensive line can’t block, and you didn’t receive proper coaching on how to play QB.

Freeze sucks. Thorne might have been pretty good with a better coach.

It’s hard to watch Auburn offense since like 2018 and immediately not notice the consistent failure on the offensive line. See what became of Bo after he got out of dodge. Hell Bo covered a lot of our problems there with his mobility.

Thorne had his problems but it wasn’t all him. He shouldered a lot of the blame for playing under constant pressure. Same with Arnold.
