He’s a good old boy, but he’s also responsible for the most successful decade in program history (2010, 2013). And he hired Bruce Pearl, the greatest basketball coach in Auburn history.

If the 2010's are the most successful decade in program history, then our program historically sucks. The guy hired Barbee before Pearl, destroyed the national championship swimming program, track was awful, etc. Have to give him credit for draining the teacher's retirement fund each year to the tune of nearly $700k and going down as the highest paid state of Alabama retirement beneficiary in history.
