He fits the age criteria (42).

He already has experience with Auburn and recruiting the South.

He has SECCG experience and a NC experience (as coordinator).

He turned SMU around and made them a playoff team.

He has a pretty wife.

Yet no hype for him?

I get he’s a Gus protege, but at this point, I’m sure he’s developed his own philosophy. It seems to be working well for him with subpar athletes.

He just signed an extension giving him at least $9M+ a year. That would be hard to walk away from.

I see why Auburn wants Lashlee but with the other schools available why would he want us.

He could stay at SMU and have a better chance of making future postseason games.

Rhett Lashlee is a proven coach in a power conference who makes a lot of money. It’s funny when I see people saying the AU job is too good for him. Rhett Lashlee is too good to consider the AU job right now

Not my first choice but I wouldn't cry either. He has only lost one ACC game since he has been at SMU.

No more coaches with Arkansas HS/State ties.. Please. Let's stay clear of the Arkansas State former coaches.

If we want a change on the offensive of the ball, this is not the way to go. Same offensive philosophies we’ve dealt with for the last 10 years. We need to stay away from Lashlee and Drinkwitz for that reason alone.

Firstly, I don't want Lashlee.

Secondly, we can't get him. If SMU wants to keep him, they have the $ to match whatever dumb contract we'd offer.

Sure they do. But does SMU have the ability to attract top recruits? Why the hell wouldn't we at least send him a what's up text? RL has everything we have been asking Freeze to do.

It's now legal for SMU to do most of what the did in the 70s and 80s so yeah they are capable.

Yep. I don’t dislike Lashlee but I’m done with this system.

SMU has tons of money. That's all you need for top recruits these days.
