If Saban had coached at Florida, he would’ve won more nattys than he did at Bama.

Florida has more money and better access to talent. Florida is a better overall state than Alabama by a wide margin. Florida has only had two semi-competent coaches in their history and they were both very successful.

When people say that LSU is a better job than Florida, I start laughing uncontrollably. LSU only won one natty with the greatest coach of all time. Before Saban, they were hot garbage. Saban completely elevated their program. LSU doesn’t have the resources that Florida has and their state is also perennially broke.

Hypothetical retrospective scenarios are fun to talk about because you can be right or wrong and the world will never know.
But anyway. He won 6 at Bama and that’s reality.

If Kirby had stayed at Alabama he would have won the same amount of natty's he has since he left. Maybe more.

If he coached at Florida, Georgia, OSU, Michigan, Texas etc he would have....I think he is the besr modern coach so he would have titles at any school. Same as Smart, Meyer, Pete Carr. Great coaches can succeed most places.

This is an insane take. He’d have at least 4 I bet at Bama over the same time frame. Don’t forget, Georgia is inherently soft. They were soft under Richt, they are soft under Smart. We have many data points going across multiple coaches to support this conclusion. Sometimes they will win because of more talent, but their standard state is one of mental softness. They are similar to UT in this regard.

On paper yes Florida should have more NC’s than Bama but sometimes it’s not just about what’s on paper. Also the state had 2 other big name schools to compete against in terms of recruiting so that kinda goes against the supposed advantage of being based in Florida.

Also what makes you think Spurrer or Urban couldn’t have had better success at Bama?

Alabama has had the TWO best coaches in college football history, and a total of FIVE head coaches to have won national championships at Alabama.
When (if ever) does it start to sink-in about college football played in Tuscaloosa?

Saban was only at LSU for five years and had to rebuild them from the bottom up although DiNardo did leave him some good players. I would disagree about LSU being "hot garbage" outside of the Curley Hallman years. You do realize that LSU is neck and neck with Georgia in all time wins, SEC titles, and national championships?

Bama is ahead of everyone, by a lot, but after them an argument could be made for Tennessee, Georgia, or LSU being the second greatest SEC power of all time. So you really cannot dog out LSU without applying the same twisted logic to your own program.

A possibly true statement, but certainly a pointless one.

UF doesn't offer a full system of support for football like Bama does, from the Governor, BORs, Sheriff, Police Chief, Dean, and professors

This point furthers the first 3 points that Alabama is better than Florida in those categories due to empirical evidence that Florida CAN'T hire better coaches than Alabama due to Alabama being better in the aforementioned categories.

It don't sink in for these asshats. We are THE blueblood program of college football. Everyone else is chewing arse for second place.

Georgia is inherently soft.
Imagine being taken to overtime for one natty and being beaten by double digits in another title game a by an inherently soft program.

Just because one fan makes a dumb troll thread, it doesn't mean you have to jump on the dumb train with him.
