Has your team ever had a quarterback that had a habit of running into a sack ?

maybe blaine gabbert? He wasn't terrible about it if he did but I feel like he got sacked more than most MU QBs.

Milroe had unique abilities.

Not only could he run into a sack, he could even drift backwards for another 10-15 yards and then get sacked

Does KJ Jefferson looking to blow up a safety every so often count? He would have been so fricking good at outside linebacker it isn't even funny.

No but we did have a QB with no pocket presence who would stand like a statue and take a sack. We even dubbed it a self sack does that count?

Figured Jackson Arnold was implied.

Gabbert ran away from the sack even if it wasn't coming. After he got injured from the dirty players from Nebraska that Pelini encouraged, Gabbert was never the same. He'd either be quick to throw at any sign of pressure or he'd run backwards and out of bounds. Only QB we ever had that would get sacked with nobody there. The guy could run, but didn't run forward very much.

I was pretty surprised to learn Milroe only had a 4.4 40 time. On the field it sure seemed like he was running at a 4.2 clip, but then again LSU did have anyone on defense that could run a 4.5

Jalen's wasn't a habit as much as it was a skill, I'd say.

And Tua didn't get sacked a lot, but geez was he Mr. Glass when he did.

Our QB once accidentally tackled our RB during the handoff.

Yes, every LSU QB not named Burrow and Daniels and even they did it sometimes. We have had some all-time level QBs that did that. I still think Max Johnson was one of the worst I have ever seen. It wasn’t just that he would run into sacks as much as he seemed to do it 30 yards behind the line of scrimmage!

Our qb once got into a fight with the center, during the game, at the scrimmage line !

Well , no blows were given or taken but they were both pissed. We throttled Notre Dame, anyway, for a national title.

I’m sure the Notre Dame players got a kick out of it. The highlight of their day I suppose.

I wonder how the refs would call it if fists had been thrown?
