Thats what the new schedules are for most teams at least when they play 5 SEC matches away. Which coaches will handle the grind the best? Worst?

I don’t know that I’d go so far as to compare it to a war crime. But I do think these schedules are going to be difficult on a historical kind of level.

Hopefully everyone’s home and home with a OOC power 4 matches up. To have 5 power 4 games each year.

Well you can say good bye to OOC matchups then with 5 away games no one will want a home and home to go on the road for 6 games. Thats a lot of lost revenue every other year.

How is your pitch holding, OP?

Do you like Nike's new kit for the Barn's American football team?

Yeah, the difficulty is going to be finding another P4 team that is also on the same schedule as far as quantity of home/away games.

This might be the death knell for SEC teams doing the neutral site OOC kick off games tho, so that's good.

80% of this forum doesn't know what the Bataan death march was.
If his reference makes them look it up, op will have done a greater service to the men who suffered it than our school system does.

Bataan has a special place for Aggies btw. The most famous Aggie Muster happened at Corregidor right before it fell and many of the men in this picture never made it home, the rest who survived became legendary figures. That said I agree anything that makes people look it up and understand the sacrifices those men made is a good thing.

SEC brought it on themselves. Nobody wants to watch cupcake blowouts - and that’s important if you want TV money.

Here are some of the OOC teams on SEC schedules just this season:

Georgia State (2x)
Tulane
Citadel
SE Louisiana
Louisiana Tech
Western Kentucky
ULouisiana
Central Arkansas
Massachusetts
Illinois State
Temple
Kent State
Charleston Southern
Utah State (2x)
Marshall
Appalachian State
Charlotte
Southern Miss
Alcorn State
Northern Illinois
UTSA
Samford
San Jose State
UTEP
Sam Houston State
UL Monroe
Eastern Illinois
Ball State
South Alabama
Mercer
East Tennessee State
New Mexico State
Toledo
Tennessee Tech
Eastern Michigan
Alabama A&M
Arkansas State
Long Island University
South Carolina State
Coastal Carolina

Fortunately, they are all home games…

Any team that has a quality OOC opponent as a regular rival game will try to keep it. Georgia v Georgia Tech, and South Carolina v Clemson are annual games. Will Florida try to keep FSU or Miami?

A good friend of ours endured the Bataan Death March. He lived in Quitman, MS and lived until he was 92. He was one of the last survivors when died in 2009. A wonderful man.
And yes probably not a good comparison but hopefully the young people on this site took the time to look up the barbarity that the Japanese Army inflicted on our soldiers in 1942 in the Philippines.

“ Southern Miss”

State actually played at Southern Miss. It was the third game of a 2-1 deal. And while they have been down recently they have been a thorn in the side of many SEC teams over the decades. So I would not call them a cupcake.

Besides the sacrifice for our country... and their status as war heroes...

It is important to note that every man in that picture was alive to see Texas A&M win a national championship... Perhaps some of them were students... and who knows... maybe one of them was a team member.
