I'd put it at around 1-in-25. It would probably take some hail mary on the last play of the game or some 2nd and 27 in overtime. Doubt that a walkoff field goal would do the trick.

We have undergrads who were in middle school the last time Alabama won a national championships, and students are usually the ones who start that shite. Our students love their school and will most likely just be like Max.

Georgia can't beat Alabama so long as we're at full strength, so you don't have to worry about any field storming.

The fans should storm the field after beating Alabama. A win would seal Georgia's claim of Superiority, passing the Tide as the league's leader.

Zero chance. We see ourselves as THE premier team in the SEC. To rush the field would be an acknowledgement we're not. No way that's gonna happen.

Unless it's some miraculous win at the end, I don't think UGA will storm the field.

Would mark the first time in 15 years that a home team hasn't storm the field since beating Alabama, last time it didn't happen was 2010 @ LSU.

We are already nationally recognized as the premier team in the SEC despite Bama's historic dominance over us. It's probably due to our ascending while Bama has descended somewhat from the Dynasty podium. One can argue whether there is valid reasoning for that perception, but it's the the perception held none-the-less.

That said, the UGA fanbase has bought into it also and realize superior teams don't rush the field in wins over perceived lesser teams. Bama may walk into Athens and embarrass us. Been there. Done that. Have the scars to prove it.

FWIW the current spread is Georgia-2. Others have it at -1. I think it will be a great, high intensity game. Atmosphere will be atomic. Is it the year we break the Bama mojo? I don't know.

It appears the last time we stormed the field was Oct. 2000 in our win over the Vols. The psyche of the current fanbase is no where near the psyche of that fanbase. I remember where we were mentally going into that game.

When Saban retired that was the end of Bama’s dominance. People warned Gumps forever on these boards it was inevitable. The melt has officially carried over into year two with KD.

My natural inclination is zero.

But young people these days live on the internet so there's probably a large contingent of our students that see field rushing at other schools and feel left out that they can't do it too. So I'll say, 3%.

I think the edge goes to Georgia, who's proven that when they're down they're not out.

Coming back on Tenner the way they did was impressive. Regardless of what Bama will/won't do, they're going to fight like hell through the 4th quarter because they've experienced coming back.

If the opposite happens, I'm not sure Bama's players have the maturity or coaching to dig themselves out of a hole against a quality opponent in a hostile stadium. The only time they've been tested so far was against FSU, and they failed that test.

I guess this will be where we find out just what Bama's made of.

That would be embarrassing. Saban is gone and they lost already this year. This isn't peak Bama.

Can we just beat Alabama? I would be happy with that.

How many does it take to draw the SEC fine? It could be fun to travel to games and instigate field rushing just for sport. Pay a little money for a trespassing hit and cause the team $500k

Last season's loss was embarrassing. A loss at home this season would be awful. You wouldn't see me on this board for a while and would seriously go into hiding.

This is another funeral game for UGA? Blackout vs Bama? Love the optimism.

no

If there is one thing I am 1000000% certain of in life, it's that our team will wear silver britches, red jerseys, and red helmets next weekend.

Just need to survive and advance. No storming needed.

The only field storming in Sanford history was 25 years ago and notably was the only time a fanbase stormed the field the same year they fired their coach.

I came flying out of the upper deck but ran out of breath about halfway down the ramp. Made it down to the field eventually, however.

That was also the game when the ref got pegged in the head by a fan throwing a football.

Only time Sanford Stadium has ever been stormed. The voodoo and mind control that Tennessee had over Georgia back then was the worse. We even managed to beat Spurrier once in the '90s. Never beat Tennessee though.
