When you’ve had the two greatest coaches in the history of the game build dynasties for 25 and 17 years, with more success and national championships sprinkled in for 100 years, you tend to think that’s how it should always be.
It’s not entitlement, especially for us old guard. It’s an expectation that we will be competitive at the highest level of competition and in the conversation for championships most years. There is nothing wrong with that. It’s why Bama has done what it has done.
I’ll never stop expecting it.

Alabama has a few stretches of being absolute dog shite. 1 coach removed from the Mike Price, Mike Dubose, Mike Shula and Dennis Franchione era. 1 Coach removed from fearing the thumb.
Most people aren’t old enough to remember Bear. Gene Stallings was as good as Gene Chizik. You got Nick though.

Also realize that most of the Bama t-shirt fans who post here did not attend Alabama and didn’t become Bama fans until Saban started winning there. Most of them will now be Ohio State/Georgia/LSU fans. When they aren’t cheering for their beloved Dodgers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

A lot of their fans are too young to remember years of mediocrity, I don't think they're there yet but a couple of knee jerk coaching hires will get them there.

As a life long BAMA fan, I agree. Kids that joined the BAMA nation during Saban's rein need a reality check. His 17 year run will never be repeated as long as NIL and the transfer portal exist. Sidewalk fans suck. Hope they all jump ship.
