Imagine the success that OM or State could have if the other didn’t exist. Same for Bama/Auburn.
That’s the built in advantage of LSU and that’s what led Saban to leave Michigan State.

I'm gonna agree.
Not only that but many players in the state of Lousiana "especially skill players" are continusually underated by the services.
Most likely due to subscription sales. The South East is full of top players. It's why Harbaugh tried so hard to gain inroads down south.

Agreed. The amount of talent that comes from a state of this size is ridiculous. LSU being the only show in town gives us the built in advantage. Being close to Houston and 5 hours from Florida helps as well.

Is LSU really a better job than Alabama? Would Saban and the Bear have more titles if they coached there?
Or maybe a better question; could Les Miles and Ed Orgern win a title at Alabama?

Hard to know, although the Sabans seem to believe they would have had the same success had they stayed at LSU.
They make that statement in the Saban: A Football Life documentary.

Not sure why Oklahoma or Penn State are better jobs than Tennessee. Vols have more money than OU and more fertile recruiting land than Oklahoma or Pennsylvania

Diamond, Elite, Silver,…WHUTTT?!?!
Only that bunch of supposed college football experts at CBS could invalidate their own list by mixing three different classifications systems.
Diamond ( then Emerald, Ruby)
Elite (then Expert, Professional)
Silver (Gold, then Silver, Bronze)

If Saban never goes to the NFL and stays at LSU he would have absolutely have as many NC as he had at Bama.

List is dumb
Oregon is miles better than Florida and so is OU and Penn state.
USC and Florida probably about the same, both have similar issues but usc has better history and brand overall
Miami probably ahead of Florida since they have the same geography and high school recruiting advantages but way better nil and an athletic department that actually cares about winning

Are you talking about FSU and not Florida?

Do you think #2 on their list will finish the season unranked again?

Ed Orgeron would have never been hired by any serious program.

Coach O just had half his money taken. He is broke and motivated. He would scare LSU’s defense into tackling. That may be what they need.
