Arkansas' Record

It has been a month or two since I've thought about it, and I am getting optimistic.

AAMU - W
Arkansas State (in Little Rock) - W
@ Ole Miss - W
@ Memphis - W
Notre Dame - L
BYE
@ Tennessee - W (Our Birthright)
Texas A&M - L
Auburn - L (Home team has lost the last 4)
MSU - W
BYE
@ LSU - L
@ Texas - L
Missouri - W (Ark is due)

7-5 (4-4) = Sam and Bobby save their jobs.

SEC Championship - LSU v. Georgia

SEC Champion - Georgia Bulldogs

This will be our second big game in as many weeks, coming off a road trip to Kentucky.

It's going to get serious quick for our young QB.

Not as serious as UGA down 7 in a must win game.

I could see Arkansas beating Notre Dame. Having some early season home magic like they did against Tennessee last year. If Arkansas starts 4-0 and the offense is clicking then that stadium is gonna be rocking

"R-kansas is due."

That's all your weak program can stand on to justify a win?

Losers...

Notre Dame will likely be a 14-20 point favorite.

Last year had a better team.

So? I'm sure Tennessee was something around that last year. Historically, Marcus Freeman teams have a mess-up game. I think Arkansas could catch them.

I think we go 9-3 with losses to UGA, LSU, and Ole Miss.

We can possibly take one or two of those, but I'll never take us vs. Georgia until we prove it. Probably not enough to get into the Playoff, but improvement nonetheless.

Dang, why do we play each other so late? Our game is usually one of the first conference games played.

Notre Dame is a bit better than Tennessee and they won't overlook an SEC team.

Arkansas lost a lot of key players on offense.

Ole Miss is not beating LSU this year.

In fact, the only teams that have a hope of beating LSU this year are Bama and Clemson. Any more losses than those two would be a massive disappointment for us.

You'll lose to both Ole Miss and Tennessee.

If LSU hasn’t developed a running game outside of the QB scramble this year will be a disappointment. Breaking in three new starters on the offensive line will not help.

I'm more concerned about Memphis AT Memphis than 8&5 at home. Arkansas has had some crappy things happen against 8&5 since 8&5 joined the conference after dominating the Ags for years. Very frustrating. Still think it will turn around since getting out of the hell hole that is Jerryworld.

The optimist in me agrees with the record, just swapping Texas for LSU when it comes to losses.

The realistic version of me sees us starting the season 2-4 and Billy getting fired after UGA blows us out.

I think we start out 2-0.

vs Long Island - W
vs South Florida - W

Then lose the next 4.

at Miami - L
at LSU - L
vs Texas - L
at Texas A&M - L

Then finish 3-3 down the stretch for a fabulous 5-7 season.

vs Mississippi State - W
vs Georgia (Jax) - L
at Kentucky - W
at Ole Miss - L
vs Tennessee - L
vs FSU - W

I mean surely Heupel can't spit the bit in the Swamp again, right?
