None of those guys held out of practice demanding more money after having the most average season of all time. The sought more money elsewhere, they didn’t try to hamstring their own school.
Its not the same at all, and its kinda concerning you don’t realize that.

Go look at how they did it, then look at how Nico and his handlers tried to do it.
One of these things is not like the others.
Nico and Tennessee will be an textbook lesson in what not to do in Business/finance classes in a few years.

You don't know that. All you know is what some pundit told you. Do better.

The examples you gave aren’t just apples and oranges, they are apples and onions compared to what Nico’s posse tried to pull.

And you’re going on information pundits told you as well.
They really need to limit who can start threads on this site. There are horrible threads, and then there’s this.

Will Howard - Lost his starting job and had 1 year of eligibility left
Shedeur Sanders - Played for a HBCU, would never make the NFL without leaving
Cam Ward - projected late round / UDFA, needed a bounce back year
Quinn Ewers - Would have had to sit an extra year instead of starting
Caleb Williams - Head coach left, who he followed
Jayden Daniels - Injury bug, HC change, needed change of scenery
Bo Nix - Needed a change of scenery to go pro
Justin Fields - Was not provided an opportunity to start, needed to transfer
Those guys all have absolutely zero in common with a guy who was the undisputed starter

This guy might be Nico's dad or agent. In another thread he is comparing Deshaun Foster to Curt Cignetti in terms of coaching caliber

I guess I am clueless, but a QB asking for a payraise or he wont play in a playoff game is beyond my comprehension.
And trying to renegociate for a completely undeserved huge payraise during Spring Practice is pretty low.
I hope Nico makes (in 2025) LESS than the $2.3 million he would have gotten at Tennessee.

Damn...... how much money does a college kid playing football (or any sport) need???? Kids with live above their means and never learn the value of saving for the future. Some probably have parents that see their kids AS THEIR meal ticket.

No one has a problem with players making money. In fact, it's long overdue. The issue is that there's now no "salary cap" for lack of a better term in college football (and basketball) like there is in every other major pro sport that exists. There's no constraint or real structure to NIL deals and the timelines for opening up the portal are beyond ridiculous. Opening the portal halfway thru bowl season/the playoffs and basically less than halfway thru the NCAA tournament puts teams that advance at a huge disadvantage.
Set some salary cap type rules and guidelines and completely change the timelines for opening/closing the transfer portal and you solve 90% of the problem.

I hope among all things he learns a lesson in leadership, culture, business ethics, and honor from this. Choices has consequences and he’s about to find out just how much his greed is costing him. I really hope one day he reflects and learns a few lessons from this whole ordeal.

Nico held a school hostage for money.
Justin Fields accused UGA of racism because he couldn’t beat Jake Fromm out for the QB1.
frick both of them.

He did that before the rules allowed for easy transfers, he wouldnt have claimed that otherwise
He should have never been recruited given his pedigree if he wasnt going to be given a chance to start. One of the highest rated HS prospects of all time, of course he wanted to play

He had a chance. All he had to do was win the position. WTF are you talking about?

It will be so incredible if Nico ends up at some shitbox program with a half empty stadium and no hope of the playoffs, making less than a million dollars while riding the bench because he couldn’t beat out the incumbent QB. That would be amazing.
