According to a report by college basketball journalist Rob Reinhart, Nate Oats has emerged as the frontrunner to be the next head coach of the Maryland Terrapins. Reinhart states that Oats might be tempted by the offer, since the coach has “become increasingly frustrated with the NIL situation at Alabama, as most of the funds have been diverted to football”.

You think he's gonna turn down Kentucky just to take the Maryland job year later? That's just frickin' stupid.

This is Rob Reinhart. I’ll let you decide if he’s reputable or not.

He's the only one saying it. Ive looked around. I have seen Buzz Williams' name mentioned but not Nate's.

I’ll answer it for you. He’s an Auburn troll. Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

No way he goes to Mayrland. Bama is far more lucrative.

Not only did he turn down Kentucky last year. He turned down Texas this year.

The Maryland administration is notoriously cheap with athletics. I’m not saying Oats will never be lured away. I hope he stays forever. I’d be shocked if he left for Maryland.

So he's frustrated by an NIL pool that landed him multiple all conference transfers and five stars? To where he turns down Texas and takes Maryland?

Lol

He gets everything he wants here at Bama. If he leaves it’ll be for a school with deep basketball pockets or the NBA.

Nate has a goal of winning a National Championship at Alabama. Once he does, he might leave.

The NIL situation quote makes me think that this person is just doing message boarder shoot from the hip stuff.

Why in the frick would someone have NIL concerns and say no to Big Blue and Horns to say yes to the Terps?

My position is, after seeing him say no to Kentucky, is that the man is looking to win big here and/or go to the NBA.

Considering how active we've been in the portal and continue to recruit well out of high school, I don't think we're a pauper in college basketball roster payroll.

Nope. I didn't come on here saying it was fact. I asked about it.

That Rob Reinhart account is not reputable. MSN fell for it. Search for Rob Reinhart. You won’t find anything about “him” other than that Twitter account.

Not to Maryland. They just lost their coach due to NIL
