Is this the end of college football?

I think it is for the average fan. This has got to end somewhere. I think the average fan is going to be squeezed out altogether. We will be regulated to a seat in front of a television and even that is going to be more difficult. They already have the SEC, B1G, and ACC Networks. That took cable and streaming prices through the roof. You think it's going to stop there? I am about done with this whole process. I've already turned away from the NFL, NBA and MLB. It's the ridiculous amount of money that makes it unbearable to watch. Police, firefighters and the military make nothing and these guys having fun on a field or in an arena are rich. Makes no sense....but humans make no sense...lol... REPORT: Quinn Ewers receives massive $6 million dollar transfer offer LINK

It’s not about the kids getting paid. It’s that they can opt out without a buyout. The consequence for tampering should be buying the kid out of their current contract.

You are now posting this after your team lost to Illinois. Most South Carolina fans thought they deserved to be in the playoffs.

Eh it changes every so often. Just roll with it.

You lost to Bert
and your coach continues to act like a teenage girl.

Just the end of the season for USCe fans

College sports sucks now as a fan

Them getting paid wouldn't be a big deal if they didn't transfer IMO. That's the worst thing about it. The ability to quit your team at any time and go to a different team ruins discipline and the ability to build a program.

No but but it's the end of SEC dominance in college football.
Unfortunately the Big 10 appears to be the better league going forward and honestly I'm not exactly sure why.

College football really needs a commissioner

I disagree. The clowns are not the highest paid people working for the circus. Anytime you make more than your boss it is a problem.

$$$$$$$$ There's no cap on what teams can spend. OSU and Oregon spent a fortune. There are about 30 teams that have the capacity to spend 20 million dollars which in todays market will get you "good" team. That's just the "buy in" to get in the door. A team just offered Quinn Ewers 6 million for one season. We're NOW at the point where whoever wants to spend the most can buy a Championship.

Are you saying the Big X schools have more money and a richer donor base? I'm not saying that's not true, but I'd like to see a ranking by money.

Can you imagine mahomes opting out of chiefs every year
The portal is the issue
No paid sport would work like this
As long as you are in front of tv they don’t care if anyone shows up

Yup. With NIL you should get ONE transfer in your career, AFTER year 2.
