With the history (at least the history that a couple of teams like Alabama and Louisiana State have) the Sugar Bowl is absolutely iconic. Best bowl game hands down.

With the vicinity that the Super Dome has with the Quarter and Ceasars, and with New Orleans history of being a 24/7 party city where you can have a great time, with it being the second oldest bowl, and with its links to the SEC, there is no better game.

I love New Years in the city primarily because of this game. It blows away the second tier bowls like the Peach that are in Gothams like that shite hole Atlanta.

Who here loves the Sugar Bowl

It was disappointing when UGA was awarded the Sugar because of their poor and backwards fan base that is afraid to travel from the hollers of North Georgia and from the dirt farms in the south of this blue state.

The rare "response thread to own thread that OP got owned in" melt.

Boy, you aren’t capable of creating a good thread, and you correctly got diagnosed as a response-thread-poster.

You might be the dumbest bama poster on this board and this is saying VOLUMES.

Rose Bowl by 1000 miles. New Orleans was once a great town but is now the welfare baby of host cities.

Pasadena is better in everyway even in California.

I will admit N'awlins is nice in December. May need a light fleece in the mornings and nights, but most of the suffocating humidity is blown away by the north winds, yet the days are warm enough to do just about anything you want.

I really enjoyed the Sugar Bowl environment back in '18, and the game itself didn't disappoint. So yeah, I wish we were playing the Fightin' Skatterbois in the Sugar instead of Peach.

Nothing against ATL, but if we meet all our goals that will mean 3 games in the Merc dome in a very short period of time.

Weather in Socal this time of year is great, but LA as a town (including Pasadena) has gone to shite the past 10 years or so...like literally. I know New Orleans doesn't have the best rep, but at least the people are friendly..or the ones not trying to carjack you that is.

He gets grouchy this time of year realizing how sad his life is. Tends to lash out at others for no reason.

The Holiday Bowl should replace the Peach tbh, San Diego is fantastic and there’s Sea World, the Zoo and Gaslamp

the Naw smells like old brew water, while humans and reptiles find some way to co-exist.

Simple as that

Weird post. Are you going to Orlando or Memphis or wherever Bama was relegated to?

Have you actually watched a game in the Rose Bowl? The seating sucks. The only thing the Rose Bowl has going for it is the scenic mountains in the background. The stadium, itself, is old and very uncomfortable.

Everyone in LA and Pasadena is scattered all over the place and there is no central place for fans to congregate.

Yes, Nola has lots of problems. No question. But… The Dome is significantly better to watch a game and the close proximity of all the fans staying close together gives a wayyyy better atmosphere in the days and nights leading up to the game.

The only difference between the Sugar Bowl and Independence Bowl is the ancient arse dome the Sugar is played in.

Nailed it.

Cities like Atlanta are dog shite for atmosphere for anything. The SEC Championship should be played in the Super Dome. No one cares about visiting some spiritless city like Atlanta.

And the Superdome is by far the worst facility to host a major bowl.Place should have been razed 20 years ago.

Hope to God they take it out of rotation for the championship game permanently.

You’re dumb. There’s nothing wrong with it and they literally just renovated the whole thing. Way worse stadiums.
