Networks got their “traditional” Rose Bowl match up. This was going to happen no matter what if you know what I mean.
Also, rumor has it that OSU refilled the pellets for their turf and were just more used to the footing and had special cleats.

Yep Tennessee got screwed. There should be 4 other teams though that should have gotten in over Tennessee, SMU, Clemson or Indiana.

That makes so much more sense now as to why Heisman Nico went 14 of 31, 104 yards, 0 TDs and a QBR of 62.
I mean, what else could have caused that other than new pellets on the field? Here I was thinking that OSU played their 2nd and 3rd string QBs because it was a blowout. Turns out, they were just testing out their special cleats.

Rumor has it that Tennessee wasn’t all that and benefited from a weak conference schedule. The win against Alabama was the only strong point of the season.
