So now the rumor on Twitter is that Mbakwe will announce today he is coming back. We supposedly met his number and are supposedly going to let him go both ways. This stuff is so stupid and ridiculous. No wonder Saban left. I’m not there yet, but I’m very close to finding something else to do with my Saturdays.

I mean he actually would be a great SCATBACK! Something we don't have right now.

He's way better with the football in his hands!

I am almost to the point of not caring that Dabo's roster construction philosophy will definitely cost you games.

Also, if we are paying a backup DB with no proven ability $1 million then it took all of 10 months for that whole "don't overpay a handful of guys and frick up the locker room" stuff to go out the window.

Coupled with Youtube TV raising their rates again... I'm just not feeling it anymore

Oh, that should be great for culture.

I hope like hell that's not true and maybe there was a compromise. Because when you open that door, it's damn hard to close it back.

I don't think this is true, as I've seen multiple posts saying we didn't up his NIL.

This is what I think is bringing him back.

He may have to play receiver for us to use a 5-wide formation in the bowl game.

Thanks, my friend. The only reason I have youtube tv is for football. We don't watch TV otherwise.

That last year had to be absolutely unbearable for a guy like him. The NIL is one thing but if they don't change the portal situation this will just drive more coaches away.

College Football is devolving into lawlessness and chaos. Get this LBGTQIA++ stuff out of college football, pawwwwl.

There's alot of bad attitudes in this thread.

We have to "meet the number" of the players that transfer in, and we would be pissed if we couldn't. We in turn have to meet the number of those who may transfer out as well.

Be glad Alabama has the scratch to do these things.

In all seriousness…

I don’t blame Mbawke going after money. However, these kids are not focused on Football. It has shown all fricking year.

Go after the right talent. Pay the right people.

If we pay folks a shite ton of money. They better meet the fricking criteria of what they need to do.

Mbakwe didnt do enough to be the starter this year. The New Wave Podcast is fricking AWFUL. They can’t even focus on having a conversation without being on their phone. I can only imagine how film session goes.

Ryan Williams hit a wall mid season and began dropping balls that were fairly critical.

Time to get kids in that want to be football players and not celebrities then break the bank.

It’s been one ever since 2021. Fans need to stop buying season tickets and merchandise. Hit them in the wallet where it matters. Politics have ruined the American institution that is college football.

Someone on this board posted yesterday that CFB’s appeal was always about the coaches being the ones in the driver’s seat. They were the ones that people tuned in for. The players (17-22 year olds) are 100% running this show now and I fear that if this is not corrected for and soon, this sport could go the way of NASCAR.

I agree and it shows on every team. The NCAA better rein this in because their product is killing itself. There’s not one team that a 2019 LSU or 2020 Bama wouldn’t absolutely skull frick. BTW, those teams are history. Never again could you recruit/develop a super team.

No one would give him time but we need players like Hubbard or that cowboy collar kid from Oklahoma. Did anyone think that bastard wouldn’t leave it all on the field?
