Whether or not you should cheer for your fellow SEC schools during bowl season has always been at least a little debated, however I would argue it makes the least sense it ever has.

The players barely even represent the school, the schools don't represent their city, state, or regions, and the conferences don't represent any sort of geography or culture or values at all anymore.

Cheer for whoever you want but conferences are nothing but financial arrangements now.

There's pretty much no community of any kind left in college sports, it's just individual players and individual teams trying to maximize their own respective individual values.

Only cucks and redneck boomers have conference pride.

Correct. This is a professional sport now and 100% of the players are free agents.

The one scenario where conference pride made sense (strength of schedule) the committee has announced doesn’t mean anything.

Clemson, SMU and Boise State are in much better position to make the playoffs annually over any SEC team.

SEC down year is nothing to cheer for. We will see how far each race horse can adjust to running distance now.

And that is why CFB was different than the NFL.

No Falcons, Bucs, or Panthers fans are rooting for the Saints to do well in the playoffs.

When you have a best friend from high school who attended Auburn, who married a girl from Alabama, but you went to Georgia, and one half of your family are all Florida fans, it was easy to pull for those schools OOC, especially when Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, and midwest schools were getting the TV spotlight while you were hoping Jefferson Pilot or ESPN2 would air your game.

NIL and the portal have changed that.

Also, about the only way to get season tickets anymore without paying out the arse to get in the appropriate donor level just to get the chance to buy tickets is to be a student.

And college tuition isn't exactly cheap.

Any type of championship will come down to who spent the most money. It’s all ruined.

It was dumb even before.

I think it is exaggerated a bit from those OOC, because it’s done in jest to make them mad. But overall it is dumb.

You should look into Highschool football if that’s your criteria.

I hate you all. Except for Vandy. You can't hate Vandy.

That being said, I want all of the SEC (Texas and Okie y'all gotta earn your time so you're still BIG12 in my eyes) to kick everyone's arse. And then after said victory, I hope a meteor crashes in to your programs with no mercy.

They're just hoes looking for a paycheck that happened to have shacked up on a school's campus for a year.
That's what the sh*tshow that NCAA football has become.

I've never had conference pride and never will.

It's just a fact that the SEC is the strongest and toughest conference in college football and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.

You can all lose for all I care and I often hope you do.
