Are we expecting a Milroe announcement today?

Yesterday Deboer said there was a team meeting today and he would let Milroe and Booker make their own announcements. It wasn’t super clear what he meant.

ESPN currently projects him as the 4th qb to be drafted and ahead of Carson Beck.
Keep thinking Milroe might want to come back to improve his status but I think at 4th, he’ll leave for the draft. Also, I assume he’s already making a pretty good salary via NIL but still think he’s gone.
I’m going to predict he plays in the bowl game instead of opting out.

Next year's QB class is supposed to be really, really bad. You have Manning and Nussmeier as the top 2 guys then LaNorris Sellers.

People projecting him as the 3rd or 4th quarterback obviously don't realize how his NFL interviews will go when the NFL OC brings him in to analyze defenses and coverages on film. Doubt he's going to make a good impression.
GMs that want to draft him for his potential and athletic ability should look at how the Colts screwed themselves taking an unproven Richardson. He's been awful with a sub 50 completion percentage and a ton of turnovers.
You can expect the same from Milroe. A future Richardson or Justin Fields not Lamar Jackson. .

I doubt that he wows anyone, but I don't think he's a dumb guy. He just doesn't process those things at game speed. I think he shows enough white board knowledge to fool coaches.

If he’s gone, there’s no point in him playing in the bowl game. We need to look at Simpson for a full game running this offense. Or Mack. Milroe playing in the bowl game would benefit nobody.

Several announcers of our games and media people this year have said Jalen interviews very well. Who knows if that will translate to interviews with coaches.

They'll use what they can to simulate game speed in his time to respond but yea, you can't simulate Watt chasing his arse.
Milroe's issue will be that he won't be the only one they interview. You can expect at least Bill O'Brien to be interviewed about Milroe due to his NFL background. Of course, Saban will be as well and you can bet your paycheck they're going to want to know how much playbook he can learn and utilize and his pre and post snap reading ability.
