Texas fans already have a plan if the committee leaves them out.

They go to the playoffs, whether they lose the next game or whether they win that game and lose in the championship game

aTm isn't going to the SECCG so how could they lose it?

Texas is the only LOCK in the SEC right now
They can lose next week or SECCG, and they are still a lock to make the playoffs

if we lose a close one I think we're in. I'm not saying we deserve it. It's just what I believe.

The real question is whether or not they'll let your neutered dogs in after Texas gets revenge in Atl

UTrans is already in regardless of what happens this weekend or in the SECCG

This is a real probably today.
Texas fans are insecure about this already. They’re trying to remain hushed about it.

Sorry to inform you that Texas is already a lock for the playoff. They are the only team in the SEC that is basically 100% in at this moment.
Had to make sure the date on the original post checked out first to verify the idiocy of this post.

You actually think a 2 loss Texas wouldn't get in? I get their schedule has been really weak, but no way they are falling out of top 12. They are the one and only lock the SEC has right now.

The real question is what team gets left out of the playoff if A&M wins the SEC and Miami lost the ACCCG.
One of these teams would be left out: Texas, TN, Miami or Indiana

You actually think a 2 loss Texas wouldn't get in?
• A&M over Texas given hypothetical H2H victory.
• I believe Tennessee is [edit:]*better* and would have a stronger finish than Texas. Better run game and DL
• And finally if SEC garners a 4th team, I believe South Carolina, as I think they beat Clemson and finish strongest in the league (esp. if Clemson wins ACCCG). Better Defense and doesn't get intimidated in big games
• Finally, Texas’ starting QB is hurt, so FSU ‘23 precedent applies

Texas and Tennessee have 6 common opponents so far..
Texas 5-1 (+97 margin - 16.2 ppg)
Tennessee 4-2 (+26 margin - 4.3 ppg)
One common opponent is too small of a sample size.. but half your games? There's a pretty clear difference between the two teams imo.
Even if Tennessee beats Vanderbilt this weekend by 30 points, there will still be about a touchdown difference between 7 common opponents.

Not worried about any CFP this week.

You make a fine point if criteria is more deserving, but I’m betting the criteria becomes about better. Realize I had a typo in the quote you lifted, sry for confusion.
But I agree that’s the comparison it’d come down to, and I think the optics of losing to A&M while Tennessee wins big against Vanderbilt would resonate
